Catherine Marybeth Dirig Landers is doing great. We all had a pretty good night's sleep. Christopher and Aunt Holly visited last night!
Baby checks out A-OK! Body temp is a bit low, so she's hanging out under the food warmer lights.
About 6 pushes, and she was out! Another awesome delivery by Dr Rydfors.
A beautiful baby girl at 8:05 am!
Waiting for Rydfors to arrive to get to pushing.
At 7:30 am, Dr Rydfors called for pitosin, but we wanted to discuss it with him first. In meantime new nurse Mika checked & Carol is ready!
Holly reports Christopher is awake and all is well. Good to hear!
Another sunrise from the third floor of Sequoia.
6:30 am. Still 8 cm. This baby ain't coming out just yet.
5:27 am. Her head has dropped a bit but no further dilation.
4:29 am. Dr. Jaeger advised breaking water to move things along. Done. Two hours to get pushing going.
Carol's OB, Dr. Rydfors, has a cold, so the new doc is filling in. Dr. Jaeger from Wisconsin.
4 am. 8 cm. Water not yet broken. Dr. Jaeger offered to break it, but we decided to wait a bit to rest for the final push.
Epidural done. Patient resting comfortably.
IV in for fluids. Melissa is the nurse. She remembered us from last time.
Carol's a champ! At Sequoia now. 2:20 am. 8 cm!! Well done laboring so long at home!
We are laboring at home. It is nearly midnight. Christopher asleep since 8 pm. Contractions about 45 seconds, 3-4 minutes apart.
Carol started early labor around 5 pm today, Tuesday, December 3rd.
It's me again. Baby #2 is on the way, so time to tweet!
On our way home from LAX after a wonderful 48 hours in LA to #spotheshuttle, and oh did we!!!
