i'm sorry but this is genuinely laughable. the first down comes via a non-existent change of possession?? calling it uniquely canadian is a cop out to defend a rule which breaks all logic of the sport. this is a bad thing. can we start recognizing that please. #CFL

If you hate the Alouettes’ self-punt, you hate fun and a uniquely Canadian part of Canadian football. It requires awareness, guts and execution. It carries real risk. And it forces defences to defend the entire play instead of camping at the first-down marker. Brilliant. Keep the rule. Stop crying.
