Relatively little attention has been given to the extraordinary threats against Sweden and Finland by the Russian foreign ministry, warning of the consequences if they decide to join NATO. And we thought that kind of thing was over & done with in Europe.

Can a small town suffer collective trauma? Waking up to the news that our beloved W.C. Baker & Son is closing after 112 years is probably as close as it gets. A service that most dream of and is pretty much consigned to history going for good. Good luck to all the family!
