A rant for fun. At this point in my “crypto career”, there has been a shift. The shift is not within me, it’s within you. The days of WAGMI are dead. People are more jaded, making them selfish. We are deep into the period of me, me, me. Especially on Solana where projects lasting more than a day are the vast minority and rugpulls and fake CTOs (wtf) are prevalent. The exit strategy is defined before the entry. As a dev, how can you build when everyone that’s in is already looking to get out? After years of this shit, a legit dev has only 2 choices: Become scammy or become bitter. Scammy is not an option for me although I’ve flirted with the idea, tried to justify some shady proposals, but opted to keep my soul intact. Also, fuck you for making me even consider it. Hence, I’m bitter. I’m bitter that a truly legit project with a solid narrative can’t move above a 24K MC because we are “old” after 2 months. I’m bitter because our “investors” have all been lured away by something shiny and are being willingly farmed. I’m bitter because I’ve always told the truth to people that continue to lie to my face. I’m bitter because a 1.2x is enough for you to sell the only good thing in your bag. I’m bitter that people won’t look in our direction because there isn’t fake ass volume or a KOL that will fuck us later. I’m bitter because the core team doesn’t get the credit they deserve. I can keep going but I won’t. This isn’t a farewell letter. This is a “fuck you, I’m staying” letter. You can leave. All the assholes holding waiting to get out at the first sign of a pump, get out now. All the assholes pretending to be loyal, get the fuck out now. All the assholes that can’t help because they’re busy with something shiny, stay there. Don’t come back. Imma sit here and work for what I believe in.
