Too many people losing it in the comments so come here baby birds let me explain this. This system is a malleable answer to the Tome caps and reliance on Weekly/Daily Duties. The PACING of this system is going to most likely follow the exact same schedule we have now, where between numbered patches is how long a "season" will act. The benefit of this system is that you will be able to do something OTHER than just daily dungeon dives AND it lets you earn the stuff from the previous week, unlike the current tome system where you either get em or lose em. Basically they're taking out the middle man, there is going to be less currency exchanges and repetition in "Get tome > wait a week > Get tomes > wait a week" and more malleability for people's schedules and playtime. A lot of people are thinking this is FOMO but it's not, it's a consolidation of the stuff we already have in a more straightforward way to encompass different playstyles, and is even MORE forgiving than the current tome system because if you miss a week you're not screwed. This system will be basically exactly what we have now (with each patch being a "Season" of sorts) but more lenient towards different playstyles. Chill, people.
