In T Mrs. Shaw's classroom, the "why" and "how" of purposeful talk is just as important as the "what"! (📸 via educator @lancasteredu21) #InstantPD
Anchor chart reads: "Purposeful Talk: Focused, collaborative talk meant to DEEPEN and EXTEND our thinking about a topic. 1. Hear ALL voices. 2. Say something meaningful. 3. Practice SLANT: Sit up. Look at the person. Act like you care. Nod your head. Take turns talking. 4. Listen with intent. 5. Keep the thinking alive. 6. Be flexible in your thinking.

“Seeing beyond” is a super power of so many educators! It’s not always easy to look beyond the surface and create a connection that gets to the true potential of a child! Not always easy, but always worth it! 🥊 #champforkids #kidsdeserveit #betheone
