So, I went through the pre-prints and the Temple claim that it tracks brain blood flow does not hold water. @deepigoyal went on and on about brain flow and they even call their measure Temple-BF. Should've called it Temple BS instead.

Here’s a breakdown of nobody discussing anything important about a scientific revelation by a tech bro…
Point no 1 - We will not prove ourselves right, please use your time & recourses to prove us wrong. Anyway we will not accept when proved wrong.
Point no 2 - Give me Bharat Ratna & Nobel Prize as I’ve put 2/3 of my money behind my idea. Who even does that?
Point no 3 - I’ll buy science if needed. I’ve money. Lots of money.
4. Our Employees are in on the Pyramid Scheme. Just like the guys who work at a scam call center are in on the scam.
5. If others can take 10 to 12years then we will at-least take 8 t0 10 years until then SHUT UP.
6. We have “our science”. Our science will find our claims to be correct.
7. I’m confident so that’s a great start for me & that is all that matters.
8. We will share more feature & call them ground breaking with our fraudcasters & other paid PR.
PS - I haven’t responded to any scientific or medical concerns but FU I’m RICH & very confident.
Dear Concerned Indian Doctors,
I see your rage against Temple on X. I have a few points
to make:
1. First and foremost, a business lesson: if Temple were a scam, and any of what we said weren't true, people would know it in just a few days of using Temple. We have 14-day, no-questions-asked returns (which even Apple doesn't offer in India). If the product doesn't work, it fails out of the gate and the company dies before recovering a tenth of its R&D.
2. We have already spent $30m building Temple, $20m out of which is my own money. Selling a few thousand devices recovers a small fraction of this investment. A scam that pays nothing is not a scam anyone would run.
3. I left the Eternal CEO role to chase purpose with Temple. This is not about money. I have enough of it to last for generations. My incentives are fully aligned with getting the science right. I am not staking a reputation earned over 20 years on making a quick buck.
4. Our employees bought into our round a few months ago. The round we're raising now is mostly our customers. Scams don't build that cap table.
5. Most wearable companies start with internal studies. Whoop shipped its band in 2015, and the first published validation followed a few years later. We hold ourselves to a higher standard; pre-prints are a step prior to peer reviewed publications, and they are coming up.
6. At some point you have to stick your neck out and say: we believe in our science, and the product is now valuable enough for people to pay for and use. We believe we are there. More validation continues in public.
7. We are confident that we are building something that the world is going to be positively astonished with. We stand by our science and our methods. Each of our claims is easily verifiable by individuals and institutions alike, and you will see a lot of independent studies come up on their own when the device becomes available to use.
Last but not the least, the most ground breaking features in Temple are not even public yet. And some of them, thankfully, have nothing to do with doctors 🤭
Hope this addresses some or all of your concerns. If not, keep raging 😘🤗

Everyone is demanding educational reforms.
Excellent idea.
But can we begin by reforming the media first?
Today, our biggest influencers are not our teachers but TV studios, WhatsApp forwards, YouTube channels and social media trollers. Some of them teach us to hate before we understand, react before we think, and choose narratives over truth.
Whether we call ourselves andhbhakts or wear any other political label, we've all been conditioned to become more partisan and more narrow-minded.
Forget educational reform. Reform the media first. A nation that is fed propaganda every day cannot be educated. It can only be conditioned.

Taking into account the views and sentiments of our youth and students, Union Education Minister Shri Dharmendra Pradhan has resigned from his post. This resignation is a testimony of the fact that for Prime Minister Shri @narendramodi and our government, safeguarding the future of our students and youth is of paramount importance.
Whatever concerns students have regarding the NEET exam, paper leaks, and necessary reforms in the education system are being addressed with utmost seriousness and sensitivity by our government.
Our top priority remains to understand our students’ genuine concerns, address them promptly, and ensure that they know their voices are being heard.
I am confident that our youth and students will now focus on their studies, dreams, and aspirations with full confidence, making a significant contribution to building a strong, prosperous, and developed India.
Shri @dpradhanbjp’s tenure as Union Minister has been marked by a steadfast commitment to transforming India into developed nation. His contribution to public service has been inclusive, future-ready, and aligned with the aspirations of a New India.

Last year when my father passed away due to cancer, we didn’t even have enough money to pay house rent. I was just a student back then, completely clueless about how I would take care of my mother, sister, and family. But this small business gave me hope and strength. Today it has changed my life and given me the courage to move forward yes this is my biggest financial flex 🙂

She dumped me last night.
Not because I don't listen.
Not because I'm always on my phone.
Not even because I forgot our anniversary (twice).
But because,
in her exact words:
"You only pay attention to the parts of what I say that you think are important."
I stared at her for a moment and realized...
She just perfectly described the attention mechanism in transformers.
Turns out I wasn't being a bad boyfriend. I was being mathematically optimal.
See, in conversations (and transformers), you don't give equal weight to every word. Some words matter more for understanding context. Attention figures out exactly HOW important each word should be.
Here's the beautiful math:
Attention(Q, K, V) = softmax(QK^T / √d_k)V
Breaking it down:
Q (Query): "What am I looking for?"
K (Key): "What info is available?"
V (Value): "What is that info?"
d_k: Key dimension (for scaling)
Think library analogy:
You have a question (Query). Books have titles (Keys) and content (Values). Attention finds which books are most relevant.
Step-by-step with "The cat sat on the mat":
Step 1: Create Q, K, VEach word → three vectors via learned matrices W_Q, W_K, W_V
For "cat":
Query: "What should I attend to when processing 'cat'?"
Key: "I am 'cat'"
Value: "Here's cat info"
Step 2: Calculate scoresQK^T = how much each word should attend to others
Processing "sat"? High similarity with "cat" (cats sit) and "mat" (where sitting happens).
Step 3: Scale by √d_kPrevents dot products from getting too large, keeps softmax balanced.
Step 4: SoftmaxConverts scores to probabilities:
"cat": 0.4 (subject)
"sat": 0.3 (action)
"mat": 0.2 (location)
"on": 0.1 (preposition)
"the": 0.1 (article)
Step 5: Weight valuesMultiply each word's value by attention weight, sum up. Now "sat" knows it's most related to "cat" and "mat".
Multi-Head Magic:Transformers do this multiple times in parallel:
Head 1: Subject-verb relationships
Head 2: Spatial ("on", "in", "under")
Head 3: Temporal ("before", "after")
Head 4: Semantic similarity
Each head learns different relationship types.
Why This Changed Everything:
Before: RNNs = reading with flashlight (one word at a time, forget the beginning)
After: Attention = floodlights on entire sentence with dimmer switches
This is why ChatGPT can:
Remember 50 messages ago
Know "it" refers to something specific
Understand "bank" = money vs river based on context
The Kicker:Models learn these patterns from data alone. Nobody programmed grammar rules. It figured out language structure just by predicting next words.
Attention is how AI learned to read between the lines.
Just like my therapist helped me understand my focus patterns, maybe understanding transformers helps us see how we decide what matters.
Now if only I could implement multi-head attention in dating... 🤖
Still waiting for "scaled dot-product listening" to be invented.
