Friday, 5:01pm. Your wire missed the cutoff. Your vendor still needs to get paid.
Today we are launching Stablecoin Accounts & Payments at @tryramp:
1/ Pay vendors in USDC or USDT in 140 countries, 24/7
2/ Hold stablecoins & earn rewards on balances
3/ Manage fiat + stable payments with the same approvals & accounting
Stablecoins are better money. Ramp empowers your business to use them anywhere you use fiat.
We at Ramp tried a bunch of agent harnesses and ended up building our own. Cloud-native, model-agnostic, tailored to our infrastructure and product.
And we published how we built it: builders.ramp.com/post/build…
Dee Hock (Visa founder) built a world in which you can transact with anyone, anywhere, in a trusted fashion.
His vision for a global network transcends the business that Visa became: it created many trillions in shareholder value for companies he could never have envisioned and never could have existed without it.
His framework below is must read for anyone trying to comprehend our current moment.
One of my favorite Dee Hock frameworks is what he called trying to master the "four ways of looking at things: As they were, as they are, as they might become, and as they ought to be."
Through that lens, it's easy to see AI as a technology driving significant change between the way the economy worked five years ago and the way it works today.
It's also easy to speculate on where it might lead, especially given the many real risks and challenges around AI alignment.
But I'd argue the most important thing anyone can do is develop a perspective on how it "ought to be," and then build toward that.
To me, AI shouldn't just be a technology that accelerates the automation of tasks humans used to do.
It ought to supercharge our ability to coordinate economic activity, giving people leverage to connect their unique expertise, taste, and data traces with the people and companies that need them.
While the AI data labeling ecosystem is one of the first examples of new economic activity with people and companies getting paid by labs for their expertise or data traces, I'd love to see an explosion in AI-enabled freelancers across other sectors of the economy.
Ramp is a single pane of glass to manage your business finances.
Bringing @bendopfner and Vesto on board furthers that vision by empowering finance teams to visualize all of their money in one place even when they are in different countries, currencies, or entities.
This is powerful: treasury teams spend a lot of time monitoring all of their bank accounts. A single point of view makes it much easier to make decisions about your cash.
Congrats to the team! There is a lot more to build here to make the job even easier. Watch this space.
Excited to share that Vesto has joined @tryramp .
We started Vesto with a simple vision: give finance teams one place to manage all their cash.
Since then, we’ve helped hundreds of teams bring their treasury operations across banks, entities, and countries into one platform.
I’ve long admired what Ramp is building, and as I got to know the team better, it became clear that joining forces would let us bring this vision to life at a much greater scale.
At Ramp, we’re now building one place for finance teams to manage their cash alongside their spend, no matter who they bank with.
We’re starting by bringing bank connectivity, cash flow reporting, and forecasting together, giving teams a complete view of their cash in the finance platform they already use every day.
To the customers who’ve trusted Vesto over the years: thank you. Building for you has been the best part of this journey, and your feedback continues to shape what we’re building next.
I couldn’t be more excited to keep going with the team at Ramp. Job’s not finished.

.@tryramp now supports @global_dollar on @solana.
As with all stablecoins we support, we're proud to offer 1:1 onramps & offramps for USDG across our suite of products.
USD → USDG: $0 in fees
USDG → USD: $0 in fees
What makes this release extra special is that it's brought to you by the newest member of our digital asset team, @carterappleton, and was shipped in just his first two weeks at Ramp.
Stay tuned, much more to come from him in the future.
Ramp started with a corporate card.
Since then the ambition has broadened: bill pay, business banking, procurement, travel, AI spend, and beyond.
But the mission is the same: save companies time and money. This new capital gives us the ability to double down once again on how we can create even more value for our customers.
What if your team had a second brain which had access to your knowledge base, communications, and data?
At @tryramp this is called Glass. It has made our team more productive, dynamic, and in sync.
We can't wait to share it with you.
Weekend listen: @max11free on the @20vcFund podcast.
Max is @tryramp's unfair competitive advantage. He has built a world-class sales org in his own image: driven, competitive, and rigorous.
It's a privilege to build alongside Max and his team 🫡

Everyone's focused on how fast stablecoins move money. The bigger opportunity is improving capital efficiency & unifying how businesses manage money across every financial rail.
In a world of expensive capital and increasingly global businesses, idle liquidity and fragmented financial infrastructure carry real economic costs.
Three opportunities stand out:
• Capital needs to remain productive between payments. Always-on settlement & tokenized assets can reduce idle balances, improve liquidity management, & increase treasury efficiency.
• Global business needs local money. Regional stablecoins & onchain FX can improve price transparency, deepen liquidity, & reduce currency conversion friction so businesses can operate globally and transact locally.
• One financial operating system across every rail. Banks, cards, blockchains, & AI agents need unified controls, accounting, & visibility.
Financial innovation should reduce operational complexity, not introduce more of it. That's what excites me most about what we're building at @tryramp.
Bringing the best of traditional finance, blockchain, & AI into a unified financial experience that improves how businesses allocate capital and manage their operations.
Great conversation with @stabledash on the next wave of #stablecoin adoption.
Your finance software can now run on stablecoins, saving your business time and money.
@tryramp opened stablecoin accounts to all of its customers in July:
> Vendors and employees can be paid in stablecoins
> Payments can come straight from a bank account, requiring no pre-funding
> The Ramp card can be paid off in stablecoins too
> Transactions settle in minutes
> Payments go through on weekends and holidays too
> Each payment syncs to the accounting system with its receipt
“At Ramp, the orientation’s a bit different where a lot of the focus is we already wanna improve financial operations for every business around the world in a material way.” — @ahmedzifzaf
We're hiring a Staff Security Engineer at Ramp to lay the foundation of our crypto custody stack! Come work on problems like signing infra, HSMs, enclave attestation with a small, focused team

We at @tryramp are excited to work with the OpenStandard team to make it easier for businesses to move and store money globally.
A few things we're excited about:
1/ Reserves are shared by default. This means that most of the value accrues not to the asset issuer but to the users of the ecosystem, which aligns incentives between the issuer, distributor, and end customers.
2/ Free minting & redemption. This is a phase shift which enables much more massive scale because it brings the marginal cost of using stables close to 0.
3/ Integration with fiat systems: Stripe, Visa, and Mastercard are founding members of OpenStandard and will accept OUSD as a default. This is massive for the digital asset ecosystem because the last mile (integration with bank accounts and legacy players) is still the hardest. OUSD removes the obstacle.
4/ Independence: OpenStandard is a consortium, not a company that answers to shareholders. Their incentive is to boost adoption of their assets and not to maximize revenue. That was the only model that was going to achieve ubiquity in this space.
We look forward to bringing more open global money to all businesses on Ramp.
$OUSD is live.
Build with OUSD via @Coinbase @Mastercard @Stripe and @Visa. Each integration path supports 1:1 USD conversion at no cost.
