Have you tried model merging in Sentence Transformers yet? 馃
You can combine compatible checkpoints without another training run. Here's a 60/40 weighted average of two MiniLM models.
I've had success merging checkpoints fine-tuned from the same base model.

馃У I've just released Sentence Transformers v6.2.0!
Featuring model merging with @arcee_ai mergekit, load models faster, & evaluators share work across GPUs automatically.
Plus lower-memory losses, multi-vector improvements & plenty of fixes.

Today we're unveiling Trillium Labs @trillium_labs, a new non-profit to foster the open science of frontier AI. We're building open post-training recipes and will expand into open infra to study RSI, reward-hacking, multi-agent systems, and whatever comes next.
We're built around the theory of change that you need more eyes to solve hard technical problems. We have faith in the scientific methods and communities that humanity has built, and worry that AI is becoming too closed to utilize them.
Trilliums are wildflowers that bloom briefly in the spring, before the forest canopies fill out. Though they are small, they lay the foundation for the cycles of growth and nourishment through the rest of the year. At Trillium Labs, the recipes will be the slow nutrients for the seasons and the model releases will be the blooms. Building an institution dedicated to this is needed because, much as nature鈥檚 trilliums are slow to expand and grow, the open-ecosystem needs time and dedicated resources to catch up.
I co-founded with with a long-time friend and collaborator Tom Zick (@thesezickbeats). We're hiring (full time + student collabs/interns), we're fundraising, and we're looking for compute. Please get in touch if you're interested in helping out. Offices based in the Bay Area and Cambridge MA, remote okay.
I鈥檓 in the Bay Area until for The Curve and COLM to connect with people who are interested. We鈥檙e thankful to have initial support from Halcyon Futures and Schmidt Sciences with more funding en route to enable our ambitions of scaling. Our advisors @Thom_Wolf, @HannaHajishirzi, @gneubig and @ctnzr have been instrumental to building the ecosystem that exists today, and I鈥檓 stoked to get to keep working with them.
Today, we are announcing our Series B funding round, valuing the company at more than $1B.
This round accelerates our next-gen Trinity models across diverse infrastructure, expands our work with the DOE and national labs on Genesis-Science-1, and enables us to build the platform teams need to build, evaluate, deploy, and operate open models in production.
We are grateful to our team, partners, open-source community, and investors.
Led by @Vista_Equity, Cambium Capital, and @emergencecap, with participation from AI10 Ventures, @Hitachi, IAG, @M12vc, @p7ventures, and @Wipro.
Today we're open-sourcing nac, an agent harness for long-running tasks, and launching the Arcee open models API beta.
Nac is available now under Apache 2.0 on GitHub, built for developers running complex, multi-step engineering workloads.

hello there the jacobian conjecture is false thanx to my close friend akhil for asking about it and my other close friend fable for working during the world cup final
((1+xy)^3 z + y^2 (1+xy) (4+3xy), y + 3 x (1+xy)^2 z + 3 x y^2 (4+3xy), 2 x - 3 x^2 y - x^3 z): \C^3\to \C^3, has jacobian determinant -2, and sends (0, 0, -1/4), (1, -3/2, 13/2), and (-1, 3/2, 13/2) to (-1/4, 0, 0)
We are thrilled to announce that @natolambert is joining Arcee as a Research Advisor.
Nathan鈥檚 work and thought leadership have been instrumental to the open model ecosystem, and his guidance comes at a critical time as open builders face growing pressure.
This is a major addition for Arcee and the American OS movement.
Nathan brings the conviction, taste, and technical depth this moment calls for.

Today we drop Trinity-Large-Thinking.
SOTA on Tau2-Airline, frontier-class on Tau2-Telecom, and the #2 model on PinchBench, right behind Opus. On BCFLv4, we're in the mix with the best.
26 people with under $50M raised and a ruthless pursuit of greatness.
What this team just pulled off is nothing short of incredible. One hell of an accomplishment and I couldn't be more proud of Arcee.
And we've got more to prove.

Excited to share the latest Olmo model: Olmo Hybrid. This is a model with gated delta net (GDN) layers in a 3:1 ratio with full attention. It follows lots of other developments like Qwen 3.5 and Kimi Linear. It's incredible timing to release a fully open model so people can study how these architecture changes impact the full stack.
Personally, I learned a lot in making the post-training work. Even with the data being identical for pretraining, post-training is very different! In particular, the OSS tools for these new architectures is really limited. New architectures are much slower than standard transformers or popular models like DeepSeek MoEs. This is work that we can do together to keep pushing the frontier of efficient, open models.
This work was led by @lambdaviking @tyleraromero and others. I got to play a smaller part in making post-training work, super fun project!
I've written up a blog post that explains why this matters and hybrid models didn't work a few years ago when Mamba was super popular. Plus, this paper is a great entry point for modern deep learning / language modeling scaling theory. Enjoy and send feedback!
Due to rising demand, the Trinity Large Preview API was overloaded yesterday.
We worked through the night to scale our infrastructure, and additional compute is now online. Throughput and latency have improved, and the API is healthy and ready to support increased usage.
Thank you to our infrastructure partners and to the thousands of developers using Trinity every day. We apologize for any interruptions that were experienced during this time.
It's very charming how eager Codex is to inform me it didn't run any tests. Yeah, little buddy, you've got the senior dev role down pat.

I have some more exciting news :)
I recently joined Arcee to work on infra/research and it's literally the most locked in, dedicated, talent dense pool of people that manage to do incredible things everyday.
