Bankan’s NEB deposit is one of the largest recent gold discoveries in Africa, hosting a massive 4.89Moz Mineral Resource (of the project’s 5.53Moz total Mineral Resource).
Bankan is approaching construction-ready status and is expected to produce an average of 250,000oz per annum of an initial 12-year mine life. It will create several thousand jobs for Guineans during the construction and operations phases and contribute significant revenues to the Government of Guinea.
Once the project is in production, we are targeting annual production exceeding 400,000oz from our low-cost mining hub in Guinea.
