#Arsenal received just £50k for winning the League in 1989. And donated it to the Hillsborough Disaster Relief Fund. Can we have our sport and our club back now, please?

Covid testing for restaurants -- a thread. On June 1 The Alinea Group was notified by an employee that s/he had tested positive for Covid19. That employee had not worked in 8 days. No one else showed any systems Nonetheless every person that worked on the same day was tested /1

Interesting thread and right on
The only restaurant from mainland China on the World's 50 Best Restaurants list is run by a French chef, only seats 10 people and costs $600 a head – this pretty much sums up the whole "lack of diversity in food media" problem. Expensive, white food is valued as the 'best' food.
With only 3 weeks to restrictions being lifted how can Hospitality industry possibly plan with @GOVUK who are dithering if it’s 2 metres @BorisJohnson @RishiSunak please confirm what support you will give to save 2 million jobs & many businesses going bust – at Batheaston, England

Colour pigments (anthocyanins) form long chains and drop out as sediment. The deposit in a Champagne rosé is distinctly coloured. I tried to look for a photo on the Internet to illustrate this, but couldn't find one. Someone no doubt will! 😁
For the palest of pale Champagne rosé, this perfectly illustrates just how much colour drops out during second fermentation and time on yeast. 😎
Oh oh.... big boys are on stage today! Bottling of Cristal rosé 2019 Mathuselah! #FashionWeek #TeamRoederer #InPursuitofTaste -JBL

Did you know that Australia's Orange wine region is defined by altitude? It sits around an ancient volcano, Mount Canobolas, and the 600m contour line defines the boundary of the region - anything below that cannot be part of the Orange GI. #factoftheday #aussiewine #orange

Replying to @forovinogourmet
We are not talking months with Cristal but years... this specific 2019 should be disgorged in 10 years & reach the market around 2032! Cheers 🥂 -JBL

Interesting news. Still remember his Faugeres days
Fantastic to hear that Jean-Marie Fourrier of Domaine Fourrier in Gevrey-Chambertin is now going to be making the wines at Bass Phillip in Gippsland, assuring Phillip Jones' legacy.

This is why hospitality will need to work with govt on a phased reintegration plan with corresponding ongoing and tapered support - flexible furlough, a time-out on rents and extended financial support on liquidity
