Thanks for the introduction @bksuhasa! Come talk to me at #Sfn2025 if cortex-wide neuroimaging interests you!
Excited to be back in San Diego for #Sfn2025 .We have three posters. First up @cherkkil will presenting his ultra compact microscope for cortex-wide imaging of 1000s of neurons in freely behaving mice. PSTR049.17 on Sat 1:00 PM.

New pre-print from our lab! We report on the automation of the delicate process of bone removal in rodent cranial microsurgeries. Video shows robotic eggshell engraving & comparison to a manual attempt by an experienced surgeon. biorxiv.org/content/10.1101/…

Interested in a scope that can detect neural activity from across the cortex in freely behaving 🐁? Check out our work on mini-MCAM that is up on Biorxiv. I’m happy to have co-led this work. Thanks to my PI, @bksuhasa for the opportunity. Next stop: Imaging the entire 🧠.
🚨 New pre-print!! We built a miniaturized device with an array of 4 micro-cameras that can each image multiple cortical areas in freely behaving mice. The mini-MCAM can image dozens of brain regions spread across >30 mm^2 of the cortical surface biorxiv.org/content/10.1101/…

🚨 New pre-print alert!🚨 Led by the brilliant, twitter-less post-doc James Hope. We built a 🤖 exoskeleton for 🐭🐁 so we can study their 🧠's as they go around navigating their world. An e.g., imaging 1000s of neurons in the cortex when mice walk an 8-maze. A 🧵
