It's an insanely weird feeling to not be coding with AI and to constantly see comments like this. Like whats with the recent fascination with claiming to know what every game developer is doing
Peter Molyneux says the games industry is basically pretending it doesn’t use AI.
“We, as the industry, are pretending we’re not using AI,” he said, arguing that it’s now “almost impossible to code” without AI assistance.
He claims devs can often avoid Steam’s AI disclosure by simply not ticking the AI box, despite using AI tools for coding.
Molyneux also believes AI could become one of the biggest creative advances for studios once the industry moves beyond low-quality “AI slop.”
I understand tweets like these are usually bait and/or written by kids and I've learned not to engage, but I've actually been thinking about this and I'm curious if someone can help me out.
For someone who likes sci-fi or fantasy, what gravity could the next GTA possibly carry?

No offense and I’m hoping you respond to this but GTA 6 the most anticipated game in history that we waited for 13 years for is dropping literally next month. What makes you think people are going to play this game? GTA 6 it’s going to kill every single game on this planet
I grew up playing games like Half-Life and Halo, Morrowind and Soul Reaver. Indie gems like Hyper-Light Drifter and Rain World. Games with novel settings and stories where you're bound to see something you've never seen before. Is it uncommon to care about that?

So much of cinema's power comes from believing that theres another human mind on the other side of the screen conversing with you. Someone who made hundereds small, big, deliberate, specific choices in every single frame.
The tragedy of AI art isn't even that it looks bad, it's that it forces you to become a skeptic. The moment you start wondering if a gesture, a certain pacing, a duration of pause was intentional or just a program hallucinating, calculating probabilities,...the immersion dies, the magic disappears.

One of the first character abilities: Eva's Saturn Blast. It's a useful mobility tool and has defensive advantages, being capable of propelling yourself and enemies around the battlefield.

Added water to Orbifold! I also spent some time creating accurate ripples from weapons and characters.
A curved body of water is a weird thing to get your head around.
