As an ex atheist who sought the truth, going wherever cold and rigorous logic lead, I can attest to this from personal experience. Against my upbringing and inclination, and very much against my will, logic forced me to conclude that sodomy, polygamy, adultery, divorce, fornication, and contraception were not only imprudent and ignoble, but grave moral evils. I found none of my fellow atheists, who so boasted themselves to be champions of science and reason, to look at basic scientific facts. Their arguments in favor of disbelief were weak to the point of parody, and one and all had some sort of nonsensical psuedo-religious crockpottery (anarchy or socialism or environmentalism or transhumanism) to occupy the natural human yearning for the divine which was otherwise absent from their lives. So I started reading the SUMMA THEOLOGICA of Thomas Aquinas. Well, for a man of logic, once one opens the most precise and rigorous thinker since Euclid, there is no escape. So I started looking in ernest. I prayed, thinking I would not be answered. I challenged Him to show Himself, to prove himself, to give me evidence. Be careful what you wish for. I asked for water. I was overwhelmed with floods. Miracles answered, and saved my life. Apparitions visited and spoke to me. I had visions beyond time and space. I experienced rapture and ecstacy. I saw God. Why was I shown these things when many more deserving are left thirsting in the dark for some sign of the Eternal and Almighty, the source and summit of all being? I have no idea. No one could be less worthy. I was a blasphemous atheist who never let a day pass when I did not mock and belittle Christ and all Christian things. My contempt was absolute. But He came to me, and now I am his. Seeing is believing, but one has to start believing to start seeing.
Every Atheist who truly seeks the truth finds Christ

Did you know this Japanese samurai was baptized a Catholic, met the Pope, and became a citizen of Rome more than 400 years ago? His name was Hasekura Tsunenaga, and his journey began on this day in 1613. On October 28, 413 years ago, Hasekura and his fellow envoys sailed from what is now Ishinomaki in Miyagi Prefecture, Japan. They crossed the Pacific to Mexico and continued on to Europe. In Spain, Hasekura was baptized, taking the name Felipe Francisco. He later met Pope Paul V in Rome, where he was granted Roman citizenship. Today, Miyagi Prefecture keeps the story of that extraordinary journey alive at the San Juan Bautista Museum in Ishinomaki. The museum is celebrating its 30th anniversary this year. I took the second photo when I visited the museum in May. It shows a quarter-scale reconstruction of the San Juan Bautista, the ship that carried Hasekura across the Pacific. For Catholics, it’s a remarkable glimpse of a connection between Japan and Rome that reaches back more than four centuries.

This is what AI is made for. Murtaugh is too old for this 💩 and Riggs has to find a new partner. I absolutely love how they brought in every character from that era and even combined two different characters for one actor in a couple different scenes. 🤣🤣🤣💥🔫

Father André Farah has one of the most beautiful voices. Here he is singing a hymn to the Virgin Mary, "We Are Your Servants," before her miraculous icon at the Church of Panagia Ekatontapyliani (Our Lady of the Hundred Doors) on the Greek island of Paros. 🇬🇷 One of the oldest Christian churches, dating back to around 330 AD, traditionally believed to have been founded by Saint Helena, mother of Emperor Constantine the Great, and famously known as the Church of the Hundred Doors. #byzantine #VirginMary #MotherOfGod #Panagia

An ancient Aramaic prayer echoed through St. Peter's Basilica as Chaldean Catholics gathered for a Mass celebrating their new patriarch. For many watching, the moment offered a glimpse into a living tradition: the language associated with Jesus still being prayed and sung in the heart of the Catholic Church. Chaldean/Assyrian/Syriac Christians have preserved Eastern Christianity across generations, carrying it from Iraq and the wider Middle East to communities throughout the diaspora.

The Monks of Assyria who took their Church to China, a mystery… 🇨🇳 635 AD. A monk of The Church of the East named Alopen reached Chang'an, the Tang capital. A stele describes his journey: “Observing the azure clouds, he bore the true sacred books; beholding the direction of the winds, he braved difficulties and dangers." Emperor Taizong sent his chief minister, Fang Xuanling, to bring the monk in. The books were translated in the palace library & the Emperor read them himself. In 638, he issued an edict approving the religion and ordering a church built in the capital for 21 monks.
