Josh O’Connor noticed Prince Charles does the same exact thing every time he gets out of a car. Cufflink. Cufflink. Pocket square. Then he waves. Still does it. Josh said he didn’t spend long on the little physical tells but that one stuck. Emma Corrin said she’s better at Charles than he is at Diana. For her, the shortcut is the voice. Everything drops at the end. Even if she had the best time ever it still lands a little sad. Graham asked for the shortcuts and they both started demonstrating without much hesitation. Josh kept checking imaginary cufflinks while he talked. Emma did the downward inflection and the slight head tilt. They turned it into a game between them who does the better one. The pocket square check and the way the voice always lands low are the parts that make it recognizable instead of just an impression.
