People are what matter not rules. Jesus' warning is that some folKS get so caught up in keeping rules that they loose compassion and concern for people. Of course rules that are Gods commands are important, but the Phariseess of Jesus' day interpreted those commands in their own stringent way- and left out the commands to care for others. Remember whats important and find a balance in obedience and love. “so do and observe whatever they tell you, but not the works they do. For they preach, but do not practice. ” “They tie up heavy burdens, hard to bear, and lay them on people’s shoulders, but they themselves are not willing to move them with their finger. ” Matthew 23:3-4 ESV

It is very difficult to show myself grace and its even more difficult to believe God has grace to show me with how much I mess up. I feel like Adam and Eve when they try to hide in the garden. When I make a mistake I want to run away. Never to be seen again. Turning to God makes me feel burdensome or that im just using Him to make myself feel better and that I cant come and ask for help until im in a better space.

Something I dont understand is when you make an adaptation of an established ip why you would go and change all the things that made it work to begin with. I dont know if its just me but i prefer my adaptations to be 1:1. If you want to make something make something new.
