If you think Stalinists are better than liberals then idk what to tell you
True, TLJ is better than the majority of Star Wars movies including every prequel (TLJ is a really, really, really bad movie)

Yesterday, Israeli authorities barred 7 organizers from DSA from entering the occupied West Bank via Jordan. We remain committed to anti-Zionism while fighting for Palestinian liberation and an end to Israeli apartheid, occupation, and genocide.

I actually think it is good that (1) DSA NPC very publicly stood on business and (2) a bunch of DSA right opportunists very publicly had their wrists slapped for seeking power at any price

raman has been the topic of discourse for MONTHS. how has neither DSA-LA nor the NPC been able to resolve this until literal days before the election. even if you support an unendorsement, at that point it won’t even do anything. i just don’t get how we’ve reached this point.

I joined DSA because I wanted to parasocially worship social democrats in deep blue cities but now the DSA left and NPC is taking that away from me 😢

This is a mess that DSA LA created by flouting the bylaws and democratically expressed will of DSA membership.
There was a completely fine alternative to endorsing Nithya, people who wanted to campaig for her were free to do so.
Glad to see NPC hold strong.
NEW: DSA's National Political Committee passed two resolutions tonight regarding Los Angeles mayoral candidate Nithya Raman, setting up processes to potentially force DSA's Los Angeles chapter to rescind its endorsement of her campaign and/or expel her from DSA.
Here are copies of the 2 resolutions that passed:

Expulsion: docs.google.com/document/d/1…
Seems like a pretty big self-report if you're mad about these very easy and basic questions lol? Its like, handing DSA-LA and Raman a big juicy "get out of R22 jail free card". If I supported endorsing her I'd be like, elated? Finally, an easy chance to prove yourselves!
Mass R22 purges were needed yesterday
⚡️ Mayor Zohran Mamdani's NYPD is poised to sign a three-year, $750,500 no-bid contract with Israeli surveillance firm Cognyte for FalcoNet, an AI-driven device that mimics a cell tower to track phones and can be mounted on police cars and drones or hidden in a backpack, the New York Daily News reported.
Cognyte won a tender to sell intercept spyware to Myanmar's state telecom weeks before the 2021 military coup, Reuters previously reported. Meta banned the firm the same year, saying its customers used fake accounts to target journalists and politicians in Kenya, Mexico and Indonesia.
The firm is part of an Israeli surveillance industry that grew big as a result of the military's monitoring of Palestinians, whose phone calls Israel's Unit 8200 has intercepted and stored by the millions, including to carry out genocide in Gaza and enforce a brutal illegal occupation in Jerusalem and the West Bank.

Yesterday at our chapter meeting we voted to sign onto SoRs letter calling on the NPC to invalidate @dsa_losangeles endorsement of self-described capitalist @nithyavraman. Free Palestine 🇵🇸🌹

The projection is insane. It is *your* “LARP signifiers” being checked off to invent a self-soothing narrative where Raman is a secret communist redpilling the liberal masses with views and aims she loves to conceal. Maybe she just believes what she says she does?

Is L.A. mayoral candidate Nithya Raman a capitalist?
"I'm a capitalist and I'm also a Democratic Socialist...we need to make sure capitalism works without harm to workers... to poor people."
She says the DSA is a "big tent" but she disagrees with members who call to abolish police, prisons and the Senate.
