I've made an Aseprite extension that lets you light your pixel art sprites by moving light sources around them . shadow steps, dithering, palette snapping, rim light, light-aware outlines, split shadow/highlight layers. Give it a normal map and height map(optional) and you're good to go. In the attached example the sprite shape is a single colour, everything is done by normal and height map. maybe a little rough in places.. should I release it?
