Thrilled to be back in the Bay Area for the next 6 months! “Let me know who I should meet”, as they say. :) PS: Still no shiny office on Sand Hill Road, but the temporary P9 US HQ is slowly taking shape.

Very proud to say @attio is in the top 25 fastest-growing software companies in the world (and the No. 1 fastest growing CRM!). Truly surreal. What a journey! brex.com/journal/brex-benchm…

AI will be able to compute the perfect delta of what you understand and don't, helping you progressively learn any idea and unravel any mystery. If you so desire, you'll reach the maximum of your capability and intelligence. The ultimate education. For free.

Inspired by @chrija interactive 3d bookshelf... I built an interactive 3d record shop featuring all the music I have purchased for my show, Rhythm Lab Radio, on @Bandcamp using Claude Code. I connected to my Bandcamp collection using their Subsonic API integration. I started the show in 2005 on Minnesota Public Radio, and it moved to Milwaukee in 2007. It's syndicated to stations including WXPN in Philadelphia and Vocalo in Chicago. Rhythm Lab Radio is one of the very few nationally syndicated music programs based in Wisconsin. For over 20 years, Rhythm Lab Radio has focused on music that doesn't fit neatly into one box. I do a lot of my show prep in my Bandcamp collection: about 1,200 records I've bought along the way. So I built a place where you can dig through it too. Walk into the Rhythm Lab Record Store: - It's a real record shop, in 3D. Brick walls, a neon sign, warm lamps, plants, and wooden bins. Drag to walk around the room; scroll to step closer. - Eight sections: Electronic, Soul & Funk, Hip-Hop, Jazz, Rock/Pop/Alt, Global Sounds, Left Field, and Fresh Crates by the door for the unsorted finds. - Dig as you do in a real shop. Pick a bin and flip through it: records tip forward as you pass, and the one you're on stands up. Scroll, drag, or tap through. - Pull one out. Hit Show and the record lifts out to face you. Open it to play it right there with Bandcamp's player, see the label and year, and jump to Bandcamp to buy it and support the artist. - Build your own crates. Heart your favorites and make crates like "Late Night" or "Sunday Morning." They sit in their own 3D crate you can flip through, and you can share any crate with a link. - In a hurry? Switch to Grid view to search by artist or title, filter by genre or country, and jump A–Z. - Works on your phone too. Every record links back to Bandcamp, where buying directly supports the artists. The code is open source, and the About page shows how it all works and the projects that inspired it Check it out: rhythm-lab-record-store.verc… Github: github.com/tmoody1973/rhythm…

AI is getting smarter while the cost of using it is collapsing. Small model token prices fell 89% in six months. If that pace holds, another 96% drop over the next three generations. This will unlock massive new use cases that just don’t make economic sense today.

I've built this little website to view my @goodreads bookshelf in a much nicer way: bookshelf-aea8f1.netlify.app If you'd like to get a version for your books, LMK and I'll open-source the code on Github ... or I'll just give you the prompt ... or you just point Claude/Codex to the URL and tell it to copy/rebuild it. :)

We’re committing a portion of Anthropic’s shares to the Anthropic Public Benefit Fund, a new wholly owned entity dedicated entirely to the public benefit. It will start off with 5% of our shares. For every 50% increase in the company’s value over a set baseline, we can contribute up to an extra 2%, subject to our board’s discretion. In total, this means that roughly 20% of Anthropic’s shares are committed to the public good. Our co-founders have already pledged to donate 80% of their equity, and around half our employees are donating a portion of their equity as part of a donation matching program we’ve run since our founding. In the post below, we share more details about our new fund. anthropic.com/news/public-be…

I went from working with one agent in a chat to sitting in tmux monitoring 6 agents in parallel in my terminal. And honestly that's about the limit of my brain. I'm constantly switching between them, remembering what each one is doing, checking who's stuck and who needs me. It's exhausting! I can’t do that with 100 agents. Or 200. Definitely not a swarm of 200k. The more I work this way, the more obvious it becomes that it's the wrong form factor. Even with a nice UI, I'm not going to click through every agent to figure out what's going on. What I need is a feed. A command center that tells me what happened, what's stuck, what needs a decision from me and what I should look at next. So let the agents coordinate the work. Bring me in when I can actually help. I want to run more agents without spending the rest of my life watching them.

Penguin has moved up the publication date of my new book with Patchen Barss called "Smarter Than Us". The book explains how AI works for a non-technical reader and then talks about the myriad risks and what to do about them.
