I recently helped write a 2 part series with the legendary Gord Pyzer on why ciscoes are so important to your fishing success. Part 1 focuses on why ciscoes are so interesting, their movements in a lake, and their incredible diversity! outdoorcanada.ca/why-ciscoes…
Over the past couple years while doing my PhD field work, I've been able to tangle with some pretty incredible fish. This was one of the most memorable. At nearly 50" with a girth approaching 30", it was a true titan. What's your most memorable catch?

Made a motivational poster for spawning salmon😌
ALT A salmon majestically leaps up a cascade of water. The inspiring words "Live, Laugh, Lay eggs and die" are written in script over the picture. The salmon has a look in its eye that says: If you can't handle me at my worst, you don't deserve me at my best.
