Just spoken to Pierre Sage for @BBCMOTD. Says he accepts that Crystal Palace’s performance for 15 minutes after half time will increase ‘the noise’ around his future. But the noise is ‘outside, not internal’ #cpfc #bbcfootball

Imagine being told in 1997 that Patrick Kluivert’s son was going to score for Bournemouth against AC Milan. Like something from a parallel universe. #afcb
Pressurised @ChampionsLeague night for Inter. Two games, two defeats ahead of facing Shakhtar.
Commentary around the 🌍.
(Amazing images of the iconic San Siro before kick off! 😍)
#Pompey seven points above the relegation zone, and two points off the Championship play offs.
We should just be careful that we don’t talk too much.
Crystal Palace desperately poor today, but the issues far deeper than just Sage. Henderson leadership a big miss, Guehi/Lacroix not adequately replaced, Wharton hugely out of form, Strand Larsen not cutting it. Can’t defend set pieces, leaky defence, & without a fight today #cpfc
An edge to the Amex.

Under Mousinho, #Pompey have a habit of producing a response when the pressure is on. It’s a really impressive quality to own.
Josh King. Running a Premier League game from midfield at 19 years old. Such a sublime talent. #FFC
Thought Mousinho’s remark about how the #Pompey landscape has shifted was an astute one. Said ‘home to Sheff Utd had become must win’. That’s why I’m still baffled by those who want change, because he’s created that mentality shift. Pound for pound, they’re holding their own.
The newly promoted Premier League teams already have more wins between them (7) than Ipswich & Saints managed combined across the whole of 24/25, & as many as Burnley and Wolves combined across all of 25/26. You sense those who ‘got away with it’ previously might not this time.
A South Coast derby debrief on ‘Who Needs Mourinho?’ with @mrandrewmoon and @guywhittingham.
Why the numbers show #Pompey lacked a punch, some honesty on a much-loved player, and did they get the big calls right on selections and subs?

Few thoughts having watched the derby again. Adams the stand out with energy befitting of occasion. Quality in final 3rd desperately lacking, particularly as game went on, which is worrying vs 10. 2nd consecutive ssn where it’s been a missed opportunity at St Mary’s for #Pompey
Glasner is back at Selhurst Park 👀

For those who questioned why Chelsea bought 36 year old Jordan Henderson, just show them this game. Two superb goals, but a display of leadership,
calmness, and experience - something that Chelsea have perhaps been lacking at times in recent seasons. #cfc #bbcfootball
Chelsea scored some brilliant goals, both individual and team goals. But Bournemouth starting to appear porous. And look at when they’ve conceded today. Two in first three minutes, 30 secs after HT, & two in four minutes after that. Mentality will likely be questioned. #afcb
