While building my parking sensor Android app, the APK kept failing to install on my car’s head unit.
Settings showed Android 14, and my minSdk was 29. Even signing the APK didn’t help.
River road detected 😂
So I lowered the minSdk to 23 and it installed. Added device info reporting, only to discover it’s actually running API 27 (Android 8.1), despite still claiming Android 9.1
Never trust the advertised specs of aftermarket Android head units!

@chronos_app logo is a depiction of an analog clock. 🕓
But there’s a little Easter egg: head to the About section and you’ll see the clock showing the actual time.
Tap it to toggle between the live clock and the Chronos logo.
