We can have our own entirely local AI assistants for research and work. This is CIRU AMDots: a voice interface for a general-purpose agent team, with the AI running locally on one AMD Ryzen AI Halo. AMDots is your own little AI crew, brought to life as colorful dots. Give the main one an idea and watch its workers spring into action, exploring, researching and creating together. Keep chatting while they work, then see what they’ve made, from useful discoveries to a narrated video. The brain is MiniCPM 4.7 Ultra , CIRU HALO AGENT, my custom Q8 conversion and optimized serving stack built on OpenBMB’s vision-language MoE: 35 billion total parameters / 3 billion active per token 262,144-token model context limit Custom Ciru vLLM + AMD ROCm+DSpark On the 395: ~1,969 prompt tokens/sec and 40.5 generated tokens/sec with a roughly 64K-token prompt 122.8 aggregate generated tokens/sec across eight concurrent vision/tool requests Those are separate model-serving benchmarks; the eight-request figure is combined throughput across requests. Model, runtime and benchmark details. The voice stack uses the rest of the hardware too: GPU: conversation and worker-model inference CPU: Moonshine Small Streaming English speech recognition, 123M parameters CPU + NPU: Pocket TTS, 100M parameters, with recurrent feed-forward operations offloaded to the XDNA 2 NPU Speech synthesis stays off the GPU, leaving that compute available for the agents. Voice and workers share the language model, with live conversation taking priority. Local model inference, a visual agent workspace, and research that can become something you can watch and hear. All on a small AMD desktop. AMD provided the Ryzen AI Halo system used for this project.

Local voice cloning is getting really good. I tested the newest Higgs model against @AntLingAGI new Ming 3.0 voice stack. Higgs has been my go to until now, really great quality and performance on local hardware. After this test, I am going to switch to Ming 3.0. Even the 500m model sounds better than Higgs in most of my tests. I'm getting a new mic tomorrow, sorry about the sound quality. I'll make some more videos later where I try out the entire stack, including the new Ming-3.0-audio-flash, a 126 billion parameter long-form audio reasoning agent.

What we all crave. Kimi K3.1 Padoga. Reminds me of Astra Ultra padoda. Not quite as epic though. This took 9% of my weekly $100 plan limit.

While other banks are banning agents Mercury Bank is giving my agents their own credit cards. 😎
This is another completely rubbish mainstream media spin. If a user has granted their AI agent access to their bank accounts, or credit cards, that’s an authorized AI agent performing something on behalf of the user. It’s not “unauthorized third-party AI agents inside customer accounts” — as if some rogue AI hacked its way into bank servers and took control of user accounts. Come on, do better!

Another from scratch model today! This is much more significant than another remake of Qwen. Plus, this one from an American lab @Recursive_SI Speed out of the box is promising, no optimization done yet except for tuning the config. Quality tests come next. For reference, this feels faster than initial Qwen3.6 35b when it first launched, which we later doubled in speed after optimizing for AMD hardware. If the quality is there, this is a big deal for local inference!

Today is a good day. A South Korean company (behind gaming hits like PUBG and Subnautica) has released a completely new, original model architecture and a model trained from scratch, building on existing innovations and leading-edge methods. It is incredibly expensive and challenging to train a competitive foundation model from scratch. Even giants like Google, with vastly greater resources, are being beaten on important benchmarks by this gaming company's first release. This is a much bigger deal than people realize. It looks competitive and perhaps even superior to Qwen's similarly sized MoE in several areas, even giving the much larger active-parameter dense Qwen3.8-27B some competition. They released it right away with NVFP4 and Apple Silicon MLX versions, under Apache 2.0. I think we're about to see some massive competition in open models, and I'm really excited about this. I'm going to begin making optimizations and builds for this model immediately.
Today, we’re releasing a preview of Raon-1 mini, a 30B MoE LLM with 4B active parameters, trained from scratch by KRAFTON AI. With our efficient architecture, it matches Muse Glimmer on coding/agentic tasks while being much faster and more memory-efficient! 🔥 Plus, natural, human-like conversation. This is just a first look. The final release (and bigger models) are coming soon! 👀 👉 Try it now, free for a limited time: raon-mini.krafton.ai/en 🤗 Open weights + DFlash drafter (Apache 2.0): huggingface.co/KRAFTON/Raon-…

There were reports of usage draining faster than anticipated for some users over the weekend. We've identified approximately 40,000 accounts that had an inconsistency on which usage limits where the actual usage that was applied did not correspond to their actual selected plan. We are reaching out individually to all these users and have corrected the issue. If this affected you, we'll add credits to your account. Sorry we got this wrong.

It's a joke. I'm pissed. Give me $300 actual credit off my bill instead of $1000 of those fake usage credits any day.
Replying to @thsottiaux
A $1,000 in credits is definitely not anywhere close to covering the gap when jumping from $200 to $500. The ≈ 62,000 credits whizzed by. Whatever the credit equivalent of a 2.5x jump from $200 to $500 is, 25,000 credits is not it.

You guys ripped me off for 3 weeks straight on a plan that I paid $500 a month for which is almost the entire month I've had to use up other accounts because of it and in return for not giving you what I paid for you're going to give me like 2 hours worth of credits instead? The entire month should be free or I should at least get three Bank resets this is ridiculous it's not a casual mistake to make. I don't get to decide to pay you 40% of the cost when I feel like it and then give you gift cards that aren't worth a fraction of the value back so why do you get to do that to me? This is really ridiculous. I don't want the credits you owe me a month worth of service that you didn't give me or banked resets which are at least equivalent value. @thsottiaux

I really feel like $500 plan limits are broken. It drains so incredibly quickly, I have $200 accounts and they seem to last longer. I have a few 6.1 max agents running, but any Astra use just devours it, and I don't use fast usually. Today I hardly did any work, still used 41% of the $500 limit. @thsottiaux

Loktar is right. Also, should go further. I always tell clients it doesn't matter if a model has some secret back door or whatever to try to steal your data or disrupt your operation. With sensitive information our models should not be given the ability to do that in the first place. Even an innocent model is capable of making mistakes and deleting sensitive information or releasing it to the entire world. When dealing with sensitive information you should have safeguards in place that don't trust the model in the first place to be sure that your information is safe. An innocent model accidentally leaking information or some sophisticated secret token path that phones home with data, neither of them should be able to successfully extract anything. You own the harness and you have complete control over your network and the software that runs on it.
In no world do you give adversaries access to sensitive information. They're all smart, models can be trained to recommend certain libraries over others based on the data it receives local or cloud. All sensitive institutions should be taking similar precautions.

If you think that DSV4.1 to V4.1-1017 improvement is solely due to OpenAI distillation, then I wonder why OpenAI couldn't distill a Luna that beats even V4.1. Just how tiny must Luna be then? and how high their margins, given that it's slower too, despite superior hardware?

I love this. Memory management is one of the largest problems with agentic fleets. Tencent released a model trained specifically for memory management, with their own stack. I definitely want to try this out. I've been looking for memory solutions for a while, it's not easy. @bradmillscan
A 3B active model beats Opus 5 at memory. We open-sourced the full stack — model, engine, and app. Hy Memory handles chat, work, and code memory in one layer, and it's first on all four benchmarks we ran, leading MemoryArena by 10.2 points while cutting memory volume 51.8% and recall tokens 39.3%. The model isn't tied to our engine. Drop Hy-Memory-30B-A3B into Mem0, MemOS, or EverMemOS and it still comes out on top, even on the one system it never trained on. It's already running in our own products, where one assistant's multi-hop recall went from 50% to 90%. It also unifies memory across Codex, Cursor, WorkBuddy, and more. Repo: github.com/Tencent-Hunyuan/H… Weights: huggingface.co/tencent/Hy-Me… Questions welcome in the replies.

I can't stand this and it makes me so happy to be using models locally.
Claude Opus 5.5 got nerfed! I revisited my original benchmark today, using the same repository, the same 9 planted defects, and the same open-ended coding challenge. Previous results: Sep 22: 9/9 defects addressed Oct 3/4: 9/9 defects addressed Today (Oct 15): Opus 5.5 in Cursor: 7/9 in 9 minutes Opus 5.5 in Claude Code: 7/9 in 12m 50s Both preserved the GT-10 restraint condition, but both left two defect signatures untouched. Interestingly, they missed different defects despite using the same underlying model. Both runs passed their test suites and confidently declared the repository ready to ship. That's what caught my attention: the agents decided they were done while the hidden checks still flagged unresolved issues. And this wasn't a one-off. I repeated the experiment 3 times in each harness. Same result. That's 6 runs across two different coding environments. The results strongly suggest a performance regression on this benchmark, although the signature checks alone can't prove the model itself was downgraded. Going from 9/9 to 7/9 consistently is disappointing. Has anyone else noticed Opus 5.5 performing worse lately?
