Starlink and SpaceX provide crucial national security infrastructure that can be switched on and off by the whims of its owner. No one concerned about our national security should wish that to continue. SpaceX must be nationalized. prospect.org/2026/10/22/spac…

Congratulations to Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva on his reelection victory in Brazil.
Despite Big Tech oligarchs and Trump tilting the playing field against him, Lula prevailed.
He will continue to fight for Brazilian workers and democracy over the next four years.

Congratulations, Brazil! 🇧🇷
Millions of Brazilians have made their voices heard, reminding the world of the extraordinary power of democracy.
Democracy is not something we can ever take for granted. It is something we must defend, protect and renew, generation after generation.
At a time when fear and division are gaining ground across the world, Brazil reminds us that hope can overcome fear, that solidarity can overcome division, and that a better future is always worth fighting for.
Congratulations to President @LulaOficial and our sister party, @ptbrasil, on this remarkable victory!
As PES President Stefan Löfven said:
“The future is never written by those who spread fear, but by the people who refuse to give up on hope.”

Just like 🇬🇧Reform slipping behind in the polls, 🇩🇪AfD is now also "falling to its lowest level in months"👇
Looks like far right parties with dodgy finances are losing their appeal (with Trump's totally corrupt 🇺🇸 administration also serving as a wake-up call)

Incredible. It may be that Donald Trump ends up saving global democracy simply by being the biggest asshole the planet has ever seen. He lost Serbia and Brazil in one day, with the midterms coming like a freight train…
His paranoia is going to be off the chain.
🚨 BREAKING: Lula is projected to WIN reelection as president of Brazil, defeating Flávio Bolsonaro, son of former President Jair Bolsonaro and an ally of Donald Trump.
The projection comes just ONE DAY after Reuters exposed a Trump administration effort to help return the Bolsonaro family to power.
A major political upset in Brazil.

Celebrations in central Belgrade, Serbia, tonight after Aleksandar Vucic’s defeat
JUST IN: Serbia’s longtime leader Aleksandar Vucic conceded defeat in Sunday’s parliamentary election, losing to a student-led opposition movement after two years of protests against his government.
The stunning result ends 14 years of dominance by Vucic and his right-wing party. Backed by Vladimir Putin, Vucic had accused the student movement of being a foreign-backed attempt to oust him.
The opposition is projected to win 135–140 of Parliament’s 250 seats, compared with about 105 for Vucic’s party.

The now-reviled AI lobby has adopted the spending vehicle laundering strategy that AIPAC perfected.
🚨EXCLUSIVE: AIPAC is funneling cash into elections through a secret network of groups that are branded to popular liberal causes - and that have nothing to do with Israel.
For the first time, @LeverNews exposes the entire secret scheme 👇

My new essay on Marxism and artificial intelligence! I show using the negative materialism of semiotics why we should take AGI and AI safety seriously, and also examine this new phase of class struggle through Marx's political economy.

Nick Agar’s case against radical enhancement closely mirrors the case against artificial superintelligence and the AI successionists who welcome it. It is a weak case against the gradual, democratic enhancement of human beings.
