The four Hogwarts common rooms were located in completely different parts of the castle, and each had a design that reflected the personality and values of its house.
However, the Harry Potter films focused mainly on showing the Gryffindor and Slytherin common rooms, leaving those of Ravenclaw and Hufflepuff largely unexplored.
The Gryffindor common room was located in one of the castle's tallest towers, behind the portrait of the Fat Lady. It was a cosy, circular room decorated in shades of red and gold. Slytherin's common room, on the other hand, was hidden in the dungeons beneath the Black Lake, with windows looking into the water and an eerie green glow illuminating the room.
Ravenclaw's common room was situated high in a tower on the western side of Hogwarts, offering beautiful views of the castle grounds. Its interior was elegant, with blue and bronze decorations, enormous windows and a ceiling painted to resemble the night sky. To enter, students had to answer a riddle posed by a bronze eagle-shaped knocker.
Finally, Hufflepuff's common room was hidden near the kitchens, in a basement area accessible through a stack of wooden barrels. Its interior was warm and welcoming, filled with plants, comfortable furniture and round windows overlooking the gardens.
What's fascinating is how different each room was. Every house had its own atmosphere, reflecting its identity and giving its students a unique place to call home at Hogwarts.
