BREAKING: Prediction market implied odds of an emergency Fed rate cut fall to 7%, according to @Kalshi.
The last time that the Fed implemented an emergency rate cut was in 2020.
We maintain our view that an emergency Fed interest rate cut is NOT needed.
As the Japanese Yen carry trade unwinds, an interest rate cut will only worsen the effects.
On the other hand, if the Fed raises rates we head into a recession.
The Fed cannot save the day this time.
