Hot take: there needs to be an increased effort by coaches to find ways to get people in the game over the course of the season. I can understand there are nights where guys won’t play, but almost every good coach can find a way to use a guy in a way that keeps them motivated

I would REALLY like some feedback on this: Everyone has always wanted to play and not just sit the bench. That hasn’t changed. However, I was told today, by a parent, that today’s younger kids would rather be cut from a team than make it and sit the bench. When we were younger I vividly remember not wanting to be cut and kids preferring to make a team than have that happen. So…..the question is: do you think today’s kids would rather be cut altogether than make a team and not play? 🤔

They also had a mini rules clinic and were reminded of consequences of bad reactions from Dr. Lenard Handel, Assistant Commissioner who handles ejections. We wrapped up our workshop with a word from our Athletic Director Curtis Johnson and Academic Advisor Mandy Blankenship.
