As detailed in the link attached to this tweet, the family of Mari Steed have announced details of a celebration of Mari's life which will be held in the Irish Center in Philadelphia on 9th November from 2pm to 6pm. The family also plan to travel to Ireland in 2025 to have a further celebration of Mari's life here, at which time Mari and her mother Josie will be laid to rest on Irish soil. In accordance with the family's wishes, JFM Research and Adoption Rights Alliance are working to organise gatherings in Dublin and Cork on 9th November, for those who would like to come together to watch the livestream of the celebration in Philadelphia. Details will follow as soon as they are available.

Mari didn't know me from Adam, but she took time to search through records for me so my illegally adopted uncle could be reunited with his family. That was mere months ago and I naively thought I'd have more time to thank her. Such a good person. May she rest in peace.
