Every time Rory wins a major, the bakery in his hometown Holywood bakes for the occasion … 🎉 The tradition continues.

I've only just realised that when trying to describe lots of stuff, 'a shed load' isn't linked to the amount you can fit in a garden shed. It's actually being compared to the amount of stuff that falls off the back of a lorry when it sheds its load.

We were in Blackpool a couple of weeks ago. I loved it as a kid and wanted to share that joy with mini MSE, so this was actually her third time there and she loves it, as do we. Huge great, long, wide sandy beach; rides at the pleasure beach, tuppenny machines, water parks and more. When I mention it to other friends who liv in the SE, most look askance at the idea of a couple of days in Blackpool. Yet they've never been. So I wanted to pop up and say a good word. Do it right and it's a joy.

In among this 'should we do Maths till 18' furore I'd like to quietly say, there's a huge gap between the way it's taught and its applications for most people. It's mad you can leave school not understanding tax, or household budgeting. It can't all come under economics. Thanks!
