Twenty years ago I would wake every morning to the deafening sound of the dawn chorus. I’m lucky now if I hear one or two birds. Please do consider signing the World Wildlife Fund’s petition for a Living Planet Act Living Planet Act | WWF wwf.org.uk/act/living-planet…

Yesterday, I attended a forum at UCL on supporting children with speech and language challenges in their early years. It was inspiring to witness many professionals sharing their experiences and strategies for aiding children's development. 📖@clarrysmith @KateShobbrook

This is so important. We were trained that thickened fluids were the only option. They’re not, and in fact, the evidence is inconclusive about their impact. It’s time for us as a profession to stand up for evidence based interventions. Patients deserve better

Shockingly, data obtained using my statutory powers & published today shows that nearly 6,500 16-17 year olds were homeless last year.
This is not acceptable. Children are children until they are 18 and deserve to have a safe & stable home.
