Everyone should tap into Taking Tiger Mountain. Been anticipating this debut after seeing them play a bunch of killer shows this past year. One of Vancouver's best bands at the moment, and this EP rips.

My bands ep just dropped, we’re like Orchid and Jerome’s Dream and Frail Hands but worse. I play bass and do some vocals. It would mean a lot if you checked it out open.spotify.com/album/4EON2…

WHAT THE FUCK DO YOU MEAN THERE'S A HIDDEN TRACK AT THE BEGINNING OF THE ALBUM??? IF YOU MANUALLY REWIND THE CD WHEN IT STARTS PLAYING??? I HAVE NEVER HEARD THIS BEFORE

Onto Folie à Deux. while i do like some of their material that came after this imo this is their last truly great album. Patrick's vocal talent is on full display here. Disloyal, Coffee's For Closers and Headfirst are some of the band's best songs.

When i was 13 i thought Fall Out Boy was the greatest pop punk band of all time. I am 24 now and I still think that might be true. Doing a discography run rn. Take This To Your Grave still rips from front to back, one of their best.

Even more than any of their other albums, the hits on this album are honestly pretty mid. But every single other song here is some of their best material.

Kepler - Fuck Fight Fail (2000) This was a first listen for me. Slowcore band from Ottawa that originally caught my attention as they had members of Weights & Measures (an instrumental math rock band I really like). I like this, really solid slowcore

Admittedly I feel like slowcore is a genre that exists mostly in my peripherals, and I haven't listened to all that much. But I would like to change that and tap in a bit more.

Weights & Measures - Tonight The Lower Abdominals (2001) and S/T (2000) One of my favourite instumental math rock bands, and I wish I saw them talked about more. Killer band from Ottawa. With the exception of some compilations, this album and EP are their only 2 releases.
