An important event, given the present times. Please attend. Accountability of judges is the need of the hour. Several judges unfortunately have betrayed the nation and have committed a fraud on the Constitution. Their accountability shall be fixed in due time. @pbhushan1 @cheryldis

One urban local body in Madhya Pradesh purchased a one-litre bottle of phenyl for ₹33,500, whereas another urban local body in the state bought the exact same quantity for merely five rupees. Reports claim this could just be the tip of the corruption iceberg in Madhya Pradesh.

The skeletons keep tumbling out, thanks to real journalists like @rishitaakhanna. So in Karnataka, @ECISVEEP officials submitted least 61,059 Form-7 applications seeking the deletion of names with no mention of the reason for deletion. State govt must demand action @DKShivakumar
At least 61,059 Form-7 applications seeking the deletion of names from Karnataka’s electoral rolls were filed by election officials themselves, with not a single application mentioning a reason for the deletion, a mandatory requirement under the Registration of Electors Rules, 1960. ✍️@pon_vasanth and @rishitaakhanna thehindu.com/news/national/k…

The Hindu has reported about 60000 form 7s filled by EROs without citing reason. Same trend @AnjanaMeenakshi noticed in Andhra too. But when we asked, EROs said the portal does not allow them to fill reason. What’s the use of such a portal @ECISVEEP? thenewsminute.com/andhra-pra…

Salute Comrade Ram Naresh Ram (Paras ji), legendary leader of @cpimlliberation and the Indian communist movement on his 16th death anniversary. The revolutionary anti-feudal legacy of Comrade Ram Naresh Ram remains a powerful source of inspiration in today's anti-fascist resistance.

Two elections, two inspiring outcomes! In Brazil, Lula has won a fourth term defeating Bolsonaro. In Serbia, the student movement has now ended the increasingly authoritarian reign of Aleksandar Vucic.

A year ago, #SulemanPathan was lynched by a mob that included his closest Hindu friends in Maharashtra’s Jamner. The Supreme Court had recommended speedy six-month trials in such cases. A year later, most of the accused are out on bail and the trial is yet to begin. The family faces threats and setbacks. Its hopes for justice are dissipating. On appointments...
“CJI Chandrachud Used To Seek Government's Pre-Approval Before Collegium Discussed Names For Judicial Appointments” - A very serious allegations made by former SC judge Justice Sanjay Kishan Kaul’s in his forthcoming memoir "Without Fear of Favour" Former SC judge Justice Kaul stated that , Govt respects judges with spine… but the former Chief Justice of India D Y Chandrachud was “too deferential to the Government” when it came to appointments. At one time, he sought its “nod” before the Collegium had met and, once, even voiced the Government’s “bizarre” query regarding the caste of a minority-faith judge candidate. ◾Justice Kaul recounts one Collegium meeting where five names had been agreed upon, a sixth was proposed at the last minute. According to Justice Kaul, Collegium members had broadly agreed on five names. On the day of the meeting, Chandrachud proposed a sixth name, which other members resisted. Kaul says he suspected that name had come at the government’s instance, as Chandrachud took him aside during the Collegium process and wondered whether he should telephone the government to ascertain its view. Kaul says he objected and told him that this could not be done in the middle of Collegium deliberations.Ultimately, the five names proceeded and the sixth did not. ◾Justice Kaul's revelations make an old image impossible to forget. Prime Minister Modi at then, CJI D.Y. Chandrachud's residence for Ganesh Puja, an extraordinary public display of proximity between the head of the Executive and the head of the Judiciary. At the time, former CJI R.M. Lodha warned that a certain distance must be maintained between the judiciary and executive and said it was the first time in his memory that a PM had visited a sitting CJI's official residence. livelaw.in/top-stories/cji-c…

This is what BJP has earned over years. They have more spokesperson for free than on payroll.
From a leader of his stature, who also happens to be the President of the Grand Old party - this kind of a language about the Prime Minister of the country, is highly deplorable. #Kharge
