When you buy a gun, you’re shown pictures of gunshot victims.
If your neighbor suspects you of buying a gun, they can call a hotline.
If you’re from a state where guns are illegal, you can be arrested if you buy a gun out of state.
Oh sorry, these are all abortion laws.
Everyone is entitled to their opinions but do we really need to publish all of them? Another illuminating example of the importance of cultural competency.
Could the @HillsboroPolice (and all police for that matter) take their fucking boot of the necks of BIPOC folks? If police are annoyed by community’s lack in trust of them, then stop doing untrustworthy shit!
I got pulled over by @HillsboroPolice after a late night Dairy Queen trip. The officer claims the registered owner of the vehicle has a suspended license…. I’m the first and only registered owner for this car …. So they profiled me + lied. Fucking losers.

As an ER doc and health care advocate I couldn’t care less about @SenKatieBritt's cringe performance in this video that many are roasting. It is the substance of the bill she is pushing that makes me truly cringe. Here’s why: 🧵1/7
Today, I’m proud to introduce the More Opportunities for Moms to Succeed (MOMS) Act along with @SenMarcoRubio, @SenKevinCramer, and a group of @SenateGOP colleagues.

The current child care system faces inequities that can be traced back to many historically racist and sexist policies and practices. Black women made up the original child care workforce through forced labor during slavery and afterwards. #BlackHistoryMonth #ChildCare

Network members @ChildCareForOR and @familyforward center the expertise of a mother who became homeless b/c she couldn't afford #childcare & a mom who went back to work 7 days post c-section to pay for care.
This is how we make real change happen. 💪

It’s 2024 and the @WSJ still pushes out this type of garbage.
Reckless. Bigoted. Islamophobic.
Dearborn is one of the greatest American cities in our nation.
- fastest growing city in MI
- home to the #1 travel destination in MI (Greenfield Village / Henry Ford Museum)
- home of @Ford Motor Company
- coffee/food/culture capital of MI
- among the most diverse cities in MI
Do better, @WSJ.
White supremacy values property over actual people. Once again, not surprised by the actions of the US. But damn, it is still soul crushing to watch.

"I want legislators to understand that poverty drives hunger and the cost of child care drives poverty. Without access to affordable child care, we can’t work and we can’t keep food on the table."

Luz deserves the world. The least we could give her is affordable child care.
Luz is a local leader with @familyforward and serves on our Parent & Family Constituency Group! We're so grateful to @HuffPost for amplifying her story and experience trying to find #childcare that works.

I’ll keep saying it until it feels like our state and country as a whole get out sh*t together on child care: just like roads and bridges, child care is ESSENTIAL infrastructure. #FundERDC #SaveChildCare #orleg #orpol
Replying to @ChildCareForOR
TAKE ACTION: Have you been impacted by Oregon’s child care crisis? Tell Governor Kotek and our elected leaders that we need a budget that recognizes the critical value of child care, and ask them to prioritize the needs of families across our state: bit.ly/funderdc

Fifteen things you should never have to say to a country:
1. Stop bombing children.
2. Don't kill journalists.
3. Don't bomb hospitals.
4. Don't shoot patients through their hospital window.
5. Don't drive bulldozers over dead bodies.
6. Don't bomb ambulances.
7. Don't do ethnic cleansing.
8. Don't call humans animals.
9. Don't starve people.
10. Don't cut off people's water.
11. Don't cut off the electricity at hospitals, killing their ICU and NICU patients.
12. Don't bomb doctors.
13. Don't bomb UN staff.
14. Don't do apartheid.
15. Stop lying constantly.
TL:DR - 3 out of 4 Head Start programs the reporter spoke to said there is no problem. In fact, things have improved for some. WW publishes an article as though there is a problem. Because a historically underpaid workforce finally getting a raise is apparently a bad thing to WW?
