I learned that the position I was hoping to fill back in August was not officially open. Yesterday I learned the person filling that position had retired and that the position would become available soon. I may have missed out on one of two jobs in August...but the 2nd job that I thought was open is now going to be officially open. I sincerely hope that I'll be getting that job in the New Year. Sooner would be a HUGE win...but that's not how school schedules really work.

I got called in for a lesson today, and the young lady said she wanted to be baptized right on the call! 🤯
I couldn't believe it, and I felt like I was witnessing a miracle 🤍
There I was, home from the temple, happily curled up to watch Gilmore Girls on this cold and rainy night, when I got the call from the elders. I felt like I was the third string sitting on the bench, and they called me in because they're down to the last play and needed a hail mary.
I picked up the phone, and they said, "Sister Kennedy, we need you. There's a young woman we're going to have a lesson with. Can we dial you in?" I said, "Say less 😎"
So I jumped on the call, and the missionaries were just killing it. I felt the Spirit, and the young lady felt the Spirit. There were just good vibes going all around.
They asked me to share my testimony, and I tried to tie it to her story so she could relate. I told her I also grew up Catholic, and I did my due diligence and researched. I could no longer deny that I felt the Holy Spirit in this church. The young lady was feeling it as well. She said, "I've been looking for a church, and I really feel like this is the one. I'd like to be baptized."
I couldn't believe my ears! 🤩 I was so happy. The missionaries were so happy, and they asked me to lead the closing prayer 😬
As you saw from my last post, I usually refuse to say it because I feel uncomfortable praying to Heavenly Father, but I was not about to ruin the energy. The Holy Spirit was really with me tonight, so I led the prayer to Heavenly Father for the first time.
I think it went well, thankfully!
And I'm so excited for the young lady. She seems so wonderful, and the missionaries were just so on. The Holy Spirit was with us all tonight. Please say a prayer that this young lady will get baptized! It was such a great day, so filled with the Spirit 🕊️
My almost 18yo son just called to tell us he'd been pulled over and the officer informed him that his license wasn't valid. He had just been taken off a 6 month suspension in September so that should drop off the charges but the speeding ticket means he'll likely lose his license at least until he turns 18 in January.
I'm very angry with him. Our insurance has already gone up because of him and will likely go up again with this new infraction.
I want to force him to pay for the entire increase in insurance costs. In the past we've covered insurance for our kids unless they did something to cause and increase and then they were responsible for the increased portion. I think he's now going to be paying his own insurance in full instead of just the increase.
My 11mo granddaughter is an absolute wonder to me. She walks around like a toddler but her object permanence is still developing. She has many gone motor skills but missing others. Her emotions are a roller coaster of extremes and she's the most beautiful reminder of God I have in my life right now.
I feel like these are the types of things you only see from protestantism. @realDrTT this is why we need to get the Catholics and Mormons on the same wavelength for Christian unity.

This guy has a website. I went to the site out of curiosity... Used the menu to navigate the site and found that the only link that had any content on it was the "Give" link. He will take your money but offers nothing substantive on the website to know why you would give. If he's making money on this endeavor it is driven by those who have naught but hate in their hearts for people that have done virtually no harm collectively to anyone.
His efforts to "bring Mormons to Christ" are inept and self serving.
The best way to impact his "ministry" is to give him zero of our time. The majority of his interactions (replies) are refuting his position. His reach would be effectively nothing without our commentary.
