The Mullen/GASO JUCO Blowout was a huge success, bringing together some of the top junior college programs and talent for a loaded event in Duncanville, Texas! High-level competition, talented rosters, and plenty of college coaches in attendance made for an incredible showcase of JUCO basketball. A great opportunity for players to compete, gain exposure, and put their talent on display in front of coaches at the next level!

Trae Young says his AAU coach banned players from saying my bad after making mistakes and forced them to do say my push ups and do push ups instead “I think we had a great coach in Coach Perry. I love Coach P, and I would credit him for basically changing my life, as far as my mindset and how I think about things. Understanding that winning takes care of everything.” “I don’t think you necessarily are the number one player in the country if we don’t win Peach Jam. He changed both of our lives.” “I really think he changed my life. Just understanding that winning takes care of everything. So I was mad a lot of times, but I also understood that I came from not being ranked. I was outside of the top 25 when the freshman rankings came out, and I was just super mad in Norman, Oklahoma.” “Coach P didn’t like people saying ‘my bad.’ When we make a mistake, he would just want people to own up to it and move on. Don’t raise your hand. He hates people saying ‘my bad.’ Until this day, I’m kind of the same way.” “We all make mistakes. We’re not perfect. None of us here are perfect. But when you’re doing that and saying ‘my bad,’ it’s just making you think about it more. Just move on. And little things like that are just things that stick with me.”

Something that I will never forget. Hearing about this in class then watching it on TV with many of our classmates had family members that worked in the towers. My continued prayers for all of those that were impacted on this day 25 years ago. #9/11neverforget
