Speaker submissions are officially open for Replay 2027!
Replay, our annual conference, is coming back to San Francisco May 17-19, 2027. We'd love to invite you to share hard-earned wisdom from putting the next generation of software into production.

Sad to see the end of BioWare - a lot of fond memories playing KotoR and ME. The TOR and ME2/3 soundtracks are still focus session staples.
So today, let's remember Mass Effect's central theme: together, we can accomplish what no one could achieve alone

It has been a day.
I think I'm finally done with allowing my team to use environment variables for credentials.
Working on new docs for @mongoosejs 👇
Existing Mongoose docs overemphasize the API reference section, which were the most viewed pages pre LLMs.
Now we're spending less effort on API docs and more on guidance and recommendations.
Adding a new guide about using indexes in production to mongoosejs.com
Covers:
- When to add indexes and when not to
- autoIndex in production
- syncIndexes in production
And a whole lot more.
Take a look and let us know what you think: github.com/Automattic/mongoo…
Getting some good use out of that Mongoose Studio Vercel MCP integration
The script UI also comes with a Dry Run mode for added confidence - run the whole script in a transaction then abort.
Huge! Maybe worth taking another look at Bun
We’re likely going to do this because schema validation libraries are basically the worst case scenario for AOT performance without compiler integration

I'm looking for my next role 👀
TS SDKs, DX, agent tooling. remote/hybrid from Boston.
if you've enjoyed ArkType, Standard Schema or my TypeScript perf work, a repost would mean a ton 🙏

It works! Hardest part was navigating the distinction between Vercel API router (/api) and Next.js pages router deployed on Vercel (/pages/api)
Client uses Vercel API router but most docs are for pages router. Plus API router doesn't support route params

We ran the latest Open Market pod with @joe_zappa and @ericfranchi through our animation AI to explain itself in a 2 min highlight reel.
It clips! It slops! It's tip-top clip-slop!
Opus 5.5 is bringing "CTV advertising for SMBs" much closer to reality. But you still need adtech to get the ads right.
@This_Liss and @BishPlsOk walk @ericfranchi and me through it on Open Market today.
Check it out.
Goal for today: @mongoosestudio_ MCP working on @vercel 👍
Big news: Mongoose Studio v0.6.0 comes with a built-in MCP server.
Give agents access to MongoDB with RBAC, OAuth, query timeouts, and script review URLs.

Performance optimization often boils down to searching for unnecessary work
Then I wonder which kook wrote that code, check git blame... yep it was me
`Array.from(arguments)`... probably trying to ensure consistent array but also support Node v4?

Huge news!
First time a former MeanIT Software client acquires another one 🎉
Experts from Oso have joined Temporal to accelerate our work on AI agent security. Welcome to the team!
As agents move money and call other agents, access decisions have to hold at every handoff, even through crashes and retries. Read more: pulse.ly/mvto9zp5me
Considering switching Mongoose from Sift to Mingo for MongoDB query implementation. Sift looks to be unmaintained.
On the other hand I found a small bug in Mingo - good test to see how active Mingo's maintenance is 👀github.com/kofrasa/mingo/pul…
My youngest son has started talking. Very limited vocabulary: mama, dada, and this.
He points and says "this" when he wants something
Future object-oriented programming expert right here 😆
👀
ECMAScript excitement 😉
Congrats to @acutmore from @TechAtBloomberg on advancing the Composites proposal to Stage 2 at @TC39 today 🎉
Composites are objects that are compared by value instead of identity. They are an evolution of Record & Tuple proposal.
I finally finished reading LotR on my NYC trip
First started reading fellowship on a family vacation when I was 14, never finished
I wasn't ready to appreciate this series at 14 but as an adult 🔥💍🌋
Had a great time at MongoDB.local NYC! Follow @mongoosestudio_ for more updates on Mongoose Studio's MCP server
Now on the flight back to MIA to touch some real grass 😆🌴

Cooking up a custom-scoped MCP integration. Explicitly tell Mongoose Studio what permissions you want to give your LLM.
Been tinkering with MCP OAuth - amazing stuff. Seamless login to @mongoosestudio_ running on local ngrok from Claude.ai 🤯

Controversy around computer-generated math proofs has around for many decades
Four color theorem (1976) is the classic example - still debated today
But the first prominent case of someone disproving a conjecture via computer program happened in 1967 en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Common…
