I am #Crowdfunding right now to support myself. I lost all of my food (and potentially medications) from #HurricaneBeryl and it’s a huge cost to me.
Any support is greatly appreciated. #MutualAidBoost

All praise to Prof. @DrSamiSchalk, who protected her students w her body. They ripped off her dress and hurt her so badly that she is now at the hospital. Dr. Schalk literally wrote the book on Black Disability Politics. Talk about putting your body on the line for your politics!

something I’ve been hesitant to say as a Black Jew who is pro-Palestine, is that I have, on numerous occasions, been subject to racist remarks made by white American Jews. At my uncle’s bar mitzva they asked what the “monkey” was doing there…

It is SO weird to me to see ObGyn residency programs not match a SINGLE Black resident, especially when they serve Black patients… we know race concordant care improves outcomes, so what’s the problem?

Always the weakest excuses. Very glad that the studio ghibli head specifically referred to how this looks, and how it makes him feel, when one considers that not all bodies work the same.

A better route might be implementing lab procedures such that safety can be enforced no matter whether a person can hear or not. Otherwise, it puts neurodivergent and/or deaf grad students and postdocs at a disadvantage, making your lab more inaccessible and discriminatory.
