I’ve posted more on @bluesky in the past two weeks than I have on this platform in the entire last year. See you over there!

I recently read Refactoring UI and found it to be a very practical, hands-on guide for developers aiming to boost their design skills. I've been working on this for the past few years with mixed results 😄, but I always appreciate resources like this one!

next stop: drastically cut down on emojis in the UI. it was fun initially, but my view is too Apple-centric...

It has been a while since the last time I attended a software conference so I'm happy to share I'll be attending @BilboStack next January! Who else is gonna be there?

During the last few days, I've been documenting some of my opinions on running software projects. Nothing particularly new, and I will probably keep adding to the article, but it was good exercise. Curious to read yours!

Yeah, maybe I misunderstand code reviews, but for me, they have always been more about learning than quality. Of course, I saw times when the code review helped to find a bug or a faulty implementation, but they were always more helpful in spreading knowledge.
Actually, I only sometimes look at pull requests looking for bugs. Instead, I look for how easy it would be for the implementation to change if something is wrong and how easy it would be to find the faulty implementation (does the code have tests? is the code easy to observe?)
I think I have been using Slack since 2014-2015, and it was not until I joined GitHub that I started to make use of a few features:
- 🔇 Mute: there are MANY enjoyable channels I like to read occasionally (also, we have quite a few ChatOps channels)
- 🔎 Search: helpful to see whether anyone across the org is discussing the same topic
- 👀 Unread: use cmd + shift + a to get a unified stream of unread messages
