Sora by OpenAI is insane. But KWAI just dropped a Sora-like model called KLING, and people are going crazy over it. Here are 10 wild examples you don't want to miss: 1. A Chinese man sits at a table and eats noodles with chopsticks

yesterday a senior engineering leader inside openai told me that gpt5 has achieved such an unexpected step function gain in reasoning capability that they now believe it will be independently capable of figuring out how to make chatgpt no longer log you out every other day

you may think this is silly but humans get stuck all the time as the dog in more abstract versions of this exact situation and a lot of ‘healing’ moves are just the higher-dimensional equivalent of opening the invisible door
Had to literally open invisible door for him.

We remain committed to our partnership with OpenAI and have confidence in our product roadmap, our ability to continue to innovate with everything we announced at Microsoft Ignite, and in continuing to support our customers and partners. We look forward to getting to know Emmett Shear and OAI's new leadership team and working with them. And we’re extremely excited to share the news that Sam Altman and Greg Brockman, together with colleagues, will be joining Microsoft to lead a new advanced AI research team. We look forward to moving quickly to provide them with the resources needed for their success.

LLMs can be castles in the air. The solution is Embodied Agents that continuously explore, experiment, and bootstrap capabilities across simulations and real world. It's the best way to generate infinite tokens and learning signals. What we call "lifelong learning".
The idea that you can build general cognitive abilities by fitting a curve on "everything there is to know" is akin to building a search engine by listing "every query anyone might ever make". The world changes every day. The point of intelligence is to adapt to that change.

If as a senior leader you find yourself in a discussion about picking a success metric that the team cannot game, by all means continue that discussion, but perhaps also ask yourself what went wrong under your watch that makes these teams want to game metrics in the first place.

True for all CEOs Dog food the product. Feel the pain of real customers. Get close. The fog of war from the org operating in pure abstraction kills products and companies.
All retail ceos should work in their stores regularly. It shouldn’t be a PR stunt but genuine enthusiasm to stay close to your people. Because in retail, you can’t make good decisions behind a desk without front-line understanding of your customers and employees.

An undervalued principle of product design is that little delights add a surprising amount of value:
ChatGPT came up with a cool UX enhancement. AI automatically names the thread for you (and its good). This should be in all AI-first products -- subject lines, Notion page titles and icons, thread names, etc. Design principle: don't make me think.

On this day 50 years ago, the astronauts on Apollo 17 captured the image of the Earth from 29,000 kilometers away. This image, the "Blue Marble," was the second photo of the whole earth taken by a human. It has since become one of the most widely distributed images in existence.

The problem of information overload goes away when you shift from consumption to creation. When you start creating, your standards automatically increase. And you realize that most stuff online is just BS that you can safely ignore.

Hey leaders: If people aren't coming to the office, look in the mirror. They're not avoiding work. They’re avoiding toxic cultures, micromanagers, constant interruptions, and countless hours wasted commuting. If you want people to show up more often, make it worth the trip.
