Microsoft open-sourced an app that watches you do a task once, then teaches your AI agent to do it for you. 4.3K stars.
How Skill Recorder works:
1. Hit record (⌘⇧R or Ctrl+Shift+R) and do the task normally. You can talk through it out loud too.
2. It captures your clicks, app switches, pages and terminal commands, all on your machine.
3. GitHub Copilot turns the recording into a list of steps you can edit.
4. One click turns it into a skill your agent can run, or an automation on a schedule.
It generalizes from one example, so recording yourself submitting one form teaches the agent to submit all of them.
Runs on Mac, Windows 11 and Ubuntu. Needs a GitHub account with Copilot access.
Install: copy the one-line command from the latest release:
github.com/microsoft/skill-r…

Jensen closed his GTC Berlin 2026 keynote with this Hermes Agent demo as the finale.
He introduced it by saying the way to build an agent is to ask an agent to build it for you, so he installed and set up a customized Hermes in one prompt.
Then he used Hermes, running on @nvidia RTX Spark, to create a simulated training environment for the @huggingface Microduck. Hermes planned an obstacle course with Nemotron and had GPT-6 Astra build it using FreeCAD, Omniverse libraries, Blender, Newton, and Isaac Lab. Hermes trained thousands of simulated ducks on that course until the validated policy was ready to run on the real robot in the physical world.
At Nous, we believe open source is a practical tool as much as a philosophical ideal. It gives users the ability to build powerful, complex workflows chaining numerous local+cloud models, devices, and tools themselves instead of waiting for a company to enable them.

We've been working hard on making the Claude Code desktop app great for running lots of sessions side by side.
It's now much quicker to start sessions, easier to split work across a few, and you can always see what each of them is doing. Here’s what's new:

Watching a team of bots split up a large game project based entirely on their own experience and specialties with little input from me is pretty crazy (and just a bit creepy) to watch. I made a short video on group chats in the Hermes Desktop App Bot Mode:
- Qwen Bot mentions working on a 2D puzzle-platformer
- GLM Bot says its last project is completed, so it can offer an extra hand with the game
- Qwen Bot sees GLM Bot's experience, and judges that is a perfect fit for some of the frontend-heavy work in the next phase
- Kimi Bot then suggests the exact ticket it should pick up and explains the current workflow
- GLM Bot thanks the two others, reads the related documents, and then asks for my approval to pick up this project
I am usually skeptical of agent-to-agent communication, but this was the first time I could really see how this could work with specialized agents splitting up a big task based on their skills. Check it out!
