Drumroll... The winner of the 2025 GCSAA Collegiate Turf Bowl is Team #1 from Penn State University — Ryan Daub, Kyler McGowan, Joseph Lofland, Aidan Huedepohl and advisor Ben McGraw, Ph.D. Congratulations! #GCSAAConference
Incredible week at #SBI24 Can’t thank @SyngentaTurf and @WakeForest enough for the hospitality and content. For anyone that’s on the fence about applying, you absolutely won’t regret it!
Earlier this week, the team put the final touches on the golf season with a great three days of aerification. They’ve been crushing moisture management during this dry stretch and the course is in a good position to recover. Ready for some rain and to transition to project season
2024 Fall Invitational - a challenging year but I’m extremely proud of the product this team put out for our members and their guests everyday. Almost time to punch some holes and keep getting better!

Excited to share I’ve been accepted to participate in the seventh class of the @NufarmUSTurf EXCEL Leadership Program! Looking forward to learn and grow from the best in the industry!
EXCEL Leadership Program announces seventh class: Eight assistant superintendent members have been chosen for the program, which is funded by @NufarmUSTurf and offers leadership training for assistant golf course superintendents. Getting things dialed back in after 3.6” of rain from Debby last week. A very wet start to the month with just under 5” in the first 10 days, but the team continues to crush it. Great effort this morning!
Good use of a rainy morning to get our student interns in the shop and learn about cutting unit setup!
After a much welcomed 3.6” of rain yesterday, the team did a great job venting putting surfaces today to accelerate drying and air exchange in the root zone. Keeping our foot on the gas pedal into the dog days of summer.
The team got the 2024 season off to a great start with green, tee, approach, and fairway aerification finished in two days! Time to grow some grass!

Battled through the elements, but the fourth and final par-three tee complex (ninth hole) of the North Course is finished! Proud of the team and excited to see the membership use their new tees.

Kicking off project season with a re-level/expansion of 11 North Tee. Almost half of the original tee was unusable due to the edges sloping off. Great effort by the team to improve this hole!
