Today we hosted the first session of an Evaluation Enquiry with colleagues from Dudley Council and Dudley Group NHS Foundation Trust. Our lab space as somewhere ‘beautiful and calm’ and the time created for learning, connection and sharing were highly valued.
We are delighted to have Alex and Gemma from @commonknowledge hanging out with us in Dudley for a couple of days. Our first collaborative session together involved lots of thinking, and post its everywhere!
One day in to this collaboration and our talk of rhizomatic learning was sparking all kinds of questions about the way the web works!
Excited to begin a new project with @colabdudley @dudleycreates today: co-designing a digital archive for the Dudley People's School for Climate Justice.
“This is what ‘ Strategy in Action’ looks like.” Lab team member @kerryfused shares the ways in which Time Rebels of Dudley are actively working on cultural strategy, and her observations made during our first year of convening around this.

We continue to be inspired by the creativity and stewardship of @annafrancisart and @rebeccamdavies, and are so grateful for their bold 100 Year Plan which helped us to have the courage to craft a 100 Year cultural strategy in action 😍
“What artists do is dream up narratives, stories – they imagine different futures. That is the power of what is happening here. Plus, the project is a small, exquisite exercise in engaged, radical democracy.”

Finally, the story of long-term thinking as a way to be a good ancestor. A 100 year timeframe for Dudley Creates cultural strategy in action helps us expand our horizons to consider our relationship with and responsibility to the rest of Nature, as well as future generations.
Time Rebel Missions began by exploring seeds of the future in the present, and asking what it means to be a good ancestor through creative work. Several creatives choose to intentionally explore the interaction of the past, present and future of Dudley.
