Season 2 Colin was such a good person because if I had spent half a year traveling across Europe during the Napoleonic Wars and none of my family replied to my letters, I would have faked my death and make everybody live with the guilt forever

Polin Kinktober Poll! I’m going to name a kink I think Polin have. Vote for if it’s more Pen, more Colin, equal, or neither.

If you have a good Gregory/Lucy/OTWTTW-related meme, now (between today and November 14th) is the time to show it off, either in the replies or the quotes of this post. You MAY get a trophy. (gif credit: @iovepolin)

unlicensed people talking about transformative works lol. the only reason fanfiction has any right to exist is because it has no material benefit to the creator. the second you argue that you have legal protection, you lose your fair use defense and you're the infringer.

But also I usually do my final edit on ao3 itself so you’re going to see a lot of unnecessary commas……..

Idk man, I guess the current “discourse” around fanfiction feels so disingenuous because it presupposes every writer cares about stats when in actuality most writers care about getting to geek out about their writing will fellow fandom buddies. And readers don’t wanna be buddies-

Tl;dr: community involves all parties, and I’m really tired of seeing so many readers talk about how fandom is community driven when you guys don’t treat writers as a part of that community. Writers are not upset about credit, they’re upset about being reduced to content.
