All across the country, I’ve heard from folks who are sick and tired of what they’re seeing from politicians right now. This Election Day, we have the power to vote for the candidates who will bring about the change we need.

Trump greift den Papst an. Erneut. „Help is on the way.” Trump schreit. Der Papst schweigt – und gewinnt.

The U.S.–Iran agreement on a ceasefire is a step back from the brink after weeks of escalation. It creates a much-needed chance to tone down threats, stop missiles, restart shipping, and create space for diplomacy towards a lasting agreement. The Strait of Hormuz must be open for passage again. I spoke to Pakistani Foreign Minister @MIshaqDar50 and thanked him for securing this initial deal. The door to mediation must remain open, as the underlying causes of the war remain unresolved. The EU stands ready to support those efforts and is in touch with partners in the region. I will discuss this in Saudi Arabia today.

The Vice President is abroad campaigning for a dictator. The President is threatening to wipe out an entire civilization. Congress is on recess. This is a total collapse of American moral leadership — at a historic scale.

77 years ago, America and our allies came together to form NATO—an alliance rooted in peace & democracy.   Trump's threats to leave are not only shortsighted, they're a gift to Vladimir Putin.   The law is clear: No President can withdraw from NATO without Congressional approval.

France just got free passage through the Strait of Hormuz. Why? Because Macron did the one thing no one in Washington could manage. He picked up the phone and didn’t sound like an idiot. đŸ‡«đŸ‡·đŸ”„ That is called leverage. Gandalv / @Microinteracti1

My Republican colleagues must take notice: The U.S. cannot base foreign policy on whether or not a president gets a prize. This is pathetic. It is petty and dangerous narcissism — behavior we might expect from a spoiled child, not the leader of a democratic nation.

Dear Members of Congress and the Senate, I was born and raised in Greenland, and I live in Greenland đŸ‡ŹđŸ‡± I have traveled widely along the coast, sailing on the coastal ferry from South Greenland all the way to North Greenland, and I also fly frequently on domestic routes. I have visited nearly every town in the country, with only Qaanaaq, Uummannaq, and Ittoqqortoormiit remaining. I have never—not once—seen a Russian or Chinese destroyer in Greenlandic waters. Nor have I ever heard of any Greenlander who has. It is entirely normal for Greenlanders to travel between towns in their own boats during the summer months to visit family and friends. I have never heard of any of my fellow countrymen encountering Russian or Chinese destroyers in our waters. Your President is lying. You have the power to stop his plans. Remember: you took an oath to the Constitution, not to President Trump. Respectfully,
