Someone asked how I defined a software factory recently, and I think my definition is different from others. To me, a software factory is centralizing your system of agents into one place to build software. That means going from custom coding setups on everyone's machines to a single definition. In practice, it's one source of truth for agent automations, repository access, secret access, sandbox environments, model selections... every aspect of the stack. I think loops and automations are a secondary aspect of this that gets unlocked once you unify everything into an "always-on" agent system. But the heart of it is having the whole team agree on the agent setup, the same way we agree on CI, lint rules, and all the automations we had pre-AI. This also makes it clear what an engineer's job is now: to make the agents better at building software. Not to be prompt monkeys! We like to call it "factory engineering"

Just need to finish my @home_assistant configuration on @nixos_org personal server as my smart home engine.
I have discovered $50 amazon photo frames to be the PERFECT home display screen They can be rooted, updated to run a modern browser, have WiFi and can be powered from USB 1280Γ—800 resolution with a nice touch screen I detailed how to hack these yourself in my latest video wesbos.com/hacking-smart-pho…

When you are 🀞 with AI, then you are doing it wrong.

Everybody’s code without AI.

Who thought cmd + w (close window) and cmd + q (quit) side-by-side would be a good idea?

Reminder, @Porkbun will increased their yearly `.com` registration and renewal price by $0.73 after Nov. 1st which makes it $11.81 per year. Still solid IMO.

One of our most requested updates! The team has been working on it for a while, much nicer experience when you hit your limit mid-task πŸ‘
Claude Code will now try to find a graceful stopping point when you hit your 5-hour limit mid-task, instead of cutting off mid-edit. It gets a small, fixed allowance pulled from your weekly limit to wrap up what it can.
