Want the world to be more affordable? Follow Volcker and Reagan. Tighten credit until inflation is below the Federal Reserve’s 2% target. Cut spending, taxes and regulations and grow the supply of goods and services. Restore deterrence and freedom of navigation in the Middle East. And remain steadfast in the face of economic and political trouble. My column this week @WSJFreeEx wsj.com/opinion/free-express…

🎯 @dpletka & @BrettDSchaefer “The record of bias is plain. According to a database compiled by U.N. Watch, since it was founded in 2006, the Council has adopted 346 resolutions containing language condemning a country for human rights violations. Israel was the focus of 116 (34 percent) of those resolutions.” nationalreview.com/2026/10/t…

WSJ: Persian Gulf oil exports have surpassed prewar levels, as an improvised shipping system under U.S. protection is helping tankers move oil through one of Iran’s fiercest waves of attacks in the Strait of Hormuz. Middle East oil flows, including shipments through Hormuz and alternative routes across the region, averaged more than 24 million barrels a day in the week through Oct. 18, surpassing prewar levels of 23.3 million, according to ship tracker Kpler.

In several races, Democrats are running ads saying the Republicans gave data centers tens of billions in tax breaks. The numbers are wrong, and the "tax breaks for data centers" aren't directed at data centers and aren't tax breaks.
