Watching these Niners commentators freak out is delicious!
"That could flip the whole damn NFC on top of its head right now. So I expect John Lynch to continue to make calls. I need Buckner. I need Brian Thomas Jr. I need all hands on deck."

This would make the Nelson trade even a bigger win. They got the best piece from Indy.
"My understanding is that the Colts don't wanna trade Jonathan Taylor..
If I had to guess today I don't think that they will trade Jonathan Taylor" ~ @AdamSchefter

Noteworthy for CHI vs. SEA on MNF
Ben Johnson & Mike MacDonald have faced off twice as offensive & defensive play callers.
They are 1-1 head-to-head.
➡️ 1st Meeting
2023 W7 @ BAL
BAL beat DET 38-6
Goff was 33/53 passing, 284 yds, 0 TD, 1 INT & 5 sacks. MacDonald’s Ravens D held DET to 68 yards rushing on 14 total carries, 11 of those by Gibbs.
Ravens jumped out to a 14-0 lead in the 1st quarter & 28-0 at the half. (Hence why the 50+ pass attempts by Goff). Lions didn’t score until 4th quarter with a TD + failed 2 pt conversion.
Time of possession was about 50/50. Both teams had 1 turnover.
Lions record was 12-5 that season.
Ravens were 13-4.
➡️ 2nd Meeting
2024 W4 in DET on MNF
DET beat SEA 42-29
Goff was a perfect 18/18 passing, 292 yds, 2 TD, 0 INT & 3 sacks. DET also had 116 yds rushing on 28 carries, with both Gibbs (78 yds) & Montgomery (40 yds) splitting carries about 50/50.
Lions jumped out to a 14-0 lead in the first 15:02 minutes and never trailed.
Seahawks had two turnovers (lost a fumble & 1 INT). Lions had no turnovers.
Time of possession was only 25:56 for DET because they were so efficient scoring.
Lions record was 15-2 that season. Seahawks were 10-7.
➡️ Obviously Bears are a different team for Ben & SEA’s roster has improved vs. 2024.
But a few takeaways we can glean from Ben vs. Mike’s previous matchups:
1️⃣ Ben’s offense had more success with a two-pronged rushing attack.
Really hoping Monangai will be back.
Establishing strong run game early is essential to controlling time of possession & keeping Darnold + Red-Hot JSN off the field as much as possible
2️⃣ It’s very important Bears offense continues scoring early & often in Q1/Q2 like they have in their other 5 wins.
And play with the lead or keep it close all game.
In both head-to-head matchups, the team that scored first & had lead at halftime won.
Also important to note:
🔸 Teams down by more than a FG to SEA at halftime have not beaten them in the last two seasons.
🔸 2nd half down by a TD+ comebacks don’t exist vs their defense.
3️⃣ Bears must create multiple takeaways on defense + play clean ball/limit turnovers on offense/kick return.
In their last head-to-head matchup which Ben won, Lions had a +2 turnover differential.
Also, in last two seasons:
🔸 Teams who lost the turnover battle haven’t beaten SEA.
🔸 SEA is 22-1 when they don’t turn the ball over more than once.
We know that Darnold is susceptible to throwing picks.
Dennis Allen continuing to be creative with relentless pressures & blitzing on big downs will be essential to disrupt him & create strip sack or interception opportunities.
4️⃣ How well Bears handle the pressure of playing in the deafening noise of Lumen Field will be critical.
In Ben vs. Mike previous matchups, the home team won both games.
While Bears fans travel well, this won’t be like CAR or ATL games where Bears fans flooded the stadium & it sounded like a Bears home game. Far fewer SEA fans scalp their tickets or no show.
The only teams to beat SEA at home in last two seasons were SF (twice) & TB. Their margin of victory was 4 points or less in each of those games.
Allen is in for a rude awakening. Seattle's run defense isn't good its elite.
Replying to @conwarrior47
Seattle has a good, not great run defense. Bears have an elite run offense. It’s apparent you don’t understand how good the Bears offense is. In fact,
More than apparent, Obvious.

Does Quenton Nelson make the Seahawks Super Bowl favorites?
@colincowherd & @jasonrmcintyre react to the Seahawks acquiring Quenton Nelson from the Colts
Um he's from New Jersey
YES! YES! YES!
Trade: Colts have agreed to send eight-time Pro-Bowl guard Quenton Nelson to the Seattle Seahawks, per me and @rapsheet. Nelson is on an expiring contract and the Colts are opting to get back draft capital now before they could lose him in free agency.
But an all-time Colt now moves on to the Seahawks.

.@Chiefs @Seahawks the O-Line played their best game of the season when they needed it the most. #BaldysBreakdowns
More very good analysis from Chicago
Seahawks have only lost 6 games since beginning of 2025. 21-6 record, including playoffs.
Combined margin of loss in 6 losses?
17 points 🤯
2025
🔸 W1: Lost 17-13 to SF
🔸 W5: Lost 38-35 to TB
🔸 W11: Lost 21-19 to LAR
2026
🔸 W3: Lost 33-31 to WSH
🔸 W5: Lost 32-29 to SF
🔸 W6: Lost 17-14 to DEN in OT
Margin of loss tells you a lot about a team.
➡️ SEA is incredibly consistent in their high level of play. Maximum they have lost by is 4 points. Average is under a FG.
Even in their very rare “off-weeks” with more mistakes & sometimes many (INTs, etc), they come remarkably close to fully being able to absorb & overcome them.
They are a ridiculously tough out.
Opponents must bring their A+ game, starting strong, playing cleaner & creating and/or capitalizing on every mistake to beat them.
➡️ 5 out of SEA’s 6 losses came when the opposing team was both leading at the half & won the turnover battle.
2nd halves were either reciprocal scoring drives with opponents maintaining a small lead or see-sawing heavyweight bouts with the lead going back & forth down to the wire.
In only 1 loss did SEA both lead at halftime (by 3 points) & have same number of turnovers as their opponent (2). That was W1 2025 vs SF
🚨 Teams down by more than a FG at halftime have not beaten SEA in the last two seasons.
Second half down by a TD+ comebacks don’t exist in their world.
⚠️ Teams who lose the turnover battle haven’t beaten them either.
Amen
"He's a good player...But he is certainly not irreplaceable."
@TheMikeSalk is glad that last night put an end to the narrative that the #Seahawks made a big mistake letting Kenneth Walker III go to the Chiefs.
She's right. This game script ain't playing out in week 8 in Seattle.
Many Bears fans have asked “how in the heck did the Marcus Mariota Commanders beat the Seahawks?
WSH won 33-31. Here’s how:
WSH had home field advantage. Didn’t have to contend with deafening Lumen Field
SEA had 3 turnovers, WSH had 0.
WSH scored first with a TD after a Darnold fumble in Q1.
And never trailed. They played the whole game with either a lead or tied with SEA.
Darnold threw two picks in the 2nd half.
Even though SEA had 28 1st downs to WSH’s 17 & Darnold threw for 393 yds to Mariota’s 176, the turnovers killed them.
WSH also had a slight time of possession advantage with 31:28. WSH had 82 yds rushing to SEA’s 42 yards.
