Well-made Markdown editors suchas Obsidian and Typora feel comfortable touse in ways that can be hard to pinpoint. There are many reasons, butone that stands out is how carefully theyhandle caret navigation.

Compiling and rendering a 350-page book in real time. It's not fast enough yet, but it's usable. Recorded on a 2022 MacBook Air M2. (The book is *The Dao of Functional Programming* by @BartoszMilewski.)
When the caret is placed on a blank line between two paragraphs while editing LaTeX, a small line is also shown at the same position in the PDF preview. A small but convenient detail.

Open a Markdown file and share it in a sec for collaborative editing.
1. Open cortex.corca.ai/try/md
2. A blank doc opens, and the URL changes.
3. Copy the URL and share. Anyone with the URL can edit.
4. The doc is kept for 24 h after its last edit. Log in to make it permanent.
