Ballots are in the mail! A few rules changed this year, and I don’t want anyone’s vote thrown out over a technicality. Sign your return envelope and write the last four digits of your Utah driver's license, state ID, or Social Security number. Your ballot has to reach the county clerk by 8 p.m. on Nov. 3. A postmark isn’t enough anymore. Mail it by Oct. 30, or drop it in a ballot drop box after that. No ballot by the end of the week? Check your registration at vote.utah.gov. Register by Oct. 23 to get one in the mail. Already registered and it never came? Request one from the county clerk by Oct. 27. Early in-person voting starts Oct. 20 at the Salt Lake County Government Center (2001 S. State). Not registered? You can register and vote on the spot, all the way through Election Day.
