i was thinking about why i felt less impressed by s2 than s1 since I finished it and i think i finally understand why. s2 was more experimental in its storytelling approach which I appreciate, but the runtime was the same as s1. s1 mainly only focused on 2 characters,+

Just sat through and watched Cyberpunk Edgerunners 2 all in one sitting, I liked it for what it was, but it doesn't hold a candle to the 1st season. The "Romance" between Talia and Roman felt so forced to me, there was no time to build a relationship or attachment to the characters or building a bond with each other. In Season 1 I fell in love with the characters almost immediately, like literally episode 1. Even if I didn't have season 1 to compare it to I would still feel the same about Edgerunners 2. There was a lot of other things I found not that great, but I don't want this post to seem like I am just taking a dump on it. I enjoyed it, but there was just a bunch of areas where it fell flat and felt rushed. Full Reaction and thoughts will be up on Patreon tomorrow, not sure if I wanna post it on YT yet or not.

but he wasn't really saving his chooms from immediate threats like s1. in s1 we see david turn into this selfless comrade throughout various events of him taking hits head on. when D did it, it was commendable but nothing like David. it was more of a personal battle for him

because corpos or the antagonist werent after the rest of the protags. the fact that they didn't really show the fight didn't help either. all and all, it was a good season with amazing moments, but i think s1 still has more consistent highs and a more cohesive narrative

not gonna name names but PS3 has a lot of ugly looking rpgs

If I actually said how much some animators get paid for their LOs (not genga, let alone colors & comp), y'all might pass out... Animation is indeed expansive. Fyi, Vincent Chansard got 15 grand for his work on Julius vs Reid from ReZero s4 and he did only action SB and KA 🤑
